Embargo on reviews and spoilers was lifted around 40 minutes ago. But surprisingly, most reviews seem to be flogging themselves as "spoiler free" - which really makes u wonder how they can have a proper review without revealing anything. Not seeing spoilers on twitter either lol. I wont be able to see the movie for a few weeks due to a few reasons so im wondering if i should wait?

That's BS. That's assuming that spending time on this forum brings you closer to reality. As a wise ass once said, 'not so fast, my friend.' Let's not get ahead of ourselves in supposing that this forum and reality have anything to do with each other.
All those reviewers must be wrong, obviously.
9.2 Rating from 5,825 users on IMDB?
Interesting. I'll wait a few weeks and see if the number falls the moment the hype dies away, if it doesn't significantly, I may even watch it before 2017, but I still haven't seen Interstellar so I need to clear this from my backlog first, since I'd always prefer Christopher Nolan over most other non-Asian directors.
The problem is: I hate spoilers (don't even read the backsides) but I also hate going to cinema, I hate 3D movies and rather use my home cinema with a 2D Blu-Ray which is always cheaper and more comfortable.

One must take the hype train into effect when gauging early reviews of anything. Hype alone has a tendency to bump everything up a notch or two at the beginning. The added benefit of analysis and repeat viewings tends to lower the temperature of that horrible fever known as the hype virus.

I'm in no hurry to see it, but an early prediction of mine, going by Hollywood's track record, is that the film will be well received (especially in contrast with the prequels), will make a gazillion dollars, and then everyone will slowly realize that under the hood of all that glass and chrome, there isn't much there. Hard feelings will begin to form, perhaps even senses of betrayal, but by then we'll be approaching time for the release of Episode VIII... so here comes the hype train once again. All aboard. Rinse and repeat.

But people are hungry for escapism. At this point, all these new Star Wars movies have to do to succeed is NOT be the prequels. I think they've got that one covered.
lol at that huge but obviously fake imdb rating :)
Nope. Still not buying into the hype. Nice try though, internet, nice try.

I bet you'll drink too much coke and get hit hard by reality halfway through the film. ;)
Maybe a bit hyped, but from what i can see looking at some reviews (yet to see a negative one), twitter etc.. overall impression is very positive. Remember. A lot of people grew up with Star Wars and been looking forward to this movie.

Worthless rating considering it's all coming from fanboys who haven't seen the film. Funny you mention Christopher Nolan because this is exactly what his fans do-give the movie 10/10 before even seeing it once IMDB starts allowing voting.

Yup. But Greedo's son looks stupid with those glasses. He should consider wearing contact lenses instead.

Forget IMDB, they rate a lot of garbage quite high, I assume now for years, that there are enough bought reviews in ordeer to fuck up the numbers They are IMHO no longer reliable..

And for Interstellar:

VAGUE SPOILER VAGUE SPOILER VAGUE SPOILER VAGUE SPOILER VAGUE SPOILER VAGUE SPOILER VAGUE SPOILER VAGUE SPOILER VAGUE SPOILER VAGUE SPOILER VAGUE SPOILER VAGUE SPOILER VAGUE SPOILER VAGUE SPOILER VAGUE SPOILER VAGUE SPOILER VAGUE SPOILER VAGUE SPOILER VAGUE SPOILER VAGUE SPOILER VAGUE SPOILER VAGUE SPOILER VAGUE SPOILER VAGUE SPOILER VAGUE SPOILER VAGUE SPOILER

The movie starts promising, but Matt Damon is annoying as always by refusing to play anything but himself and the end can be summed up with yatti yatti human race in trouble, love is the answer, happily ever after, yatti yatti friendship

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

The highlight is probably the robot. IMHO he is so funny, he would be for me the only reason ever to watch that snorenose-expedition again
