The cornerstones of every strategist's collection: up to 80% off the Eador series, Stronghold Crusader HD, Battle Realms, and more!

What do all great strategic thinkers have in common? Well, they are able to see the big picture and make the necessary sacrifices, even under stress. They always plan one step ahead of their opponent. They have a perfectly detailed imprint of their chin at the back of their right hand. But more importantly, they always seek fresh challenges. Like the ones that await you around this Strategy Corner, with an inspiring discount strategically placed on top of them. Your move, general.

RTS and city-building gameplay elements collide in the blood-soaked Arabian lands. Build your own castle, amass great armies and lay siege upon heavily fortified settlements as the Stronghold Crusader HD.

An epic game of thrones in the fantasy-coated realms of the orient? Yes, please! Battle Realms and its expansion Winter of the Wolf see the clans of the Dragon, the Wolf, the Serpent, and the Lotus go at each other's throats with their trained fighters, ninjas, and spellcasters.

Slip through the cracks of a procedurally-generated galaxy ruled by our mechanical overlords and wage a desperate AI War against their oppressive rule. The odds are against you but humanity needs your real-time combat skills and your strategic planning in order to fight back.

Turn that Strategy Corner and gain a vantage point over these diverse and unforgiving battlefields. Put your plans to the test and conquer the challenges inside King of Dragon Pass, The Last Federation, Pacific General, Frozen Synapse, and many more! The promo will last until March 15, 4:59 AM GMT.

Tannath: Space Colony has been on my radar for ages, but every time I considered it I read the reviews and pull back...

chevkoch: Same here, I got excited and then read about the Sims-heavy focus and thought, too bad.
There was a demo of Space Colony somewhere, maybe you should try it, or check out Startopia instead!
What version of Eador. Masters of the Broken World GOG has?
On Eador's forums here on GOG in a stickied topic called "Changelog" it is 1.6.2. Meanwhile on Steam forums, v1.6.3 is the latest.

Version 1.6.3.
The GOG main installer is version 1.6.1, but there is a GOG patch that brings it to version 1.6.3.
And the GOG changelog does list version 1.6.3 as its most recent version: see here.

Ok. Thank you very much.
I tried to use MaGog to find info, but lost in the interface and failed miserably. %)

I've updated the changelog thread. Must have missed the patch when it came out last September.
Question: If I buy the 'Lost Technologies' DLC for The Last Federation (completing all DLC purchases) Will I get the collection by default (like The Pit upgrade?) Or not?

Careful, any more slip-ups like that, and GOG might give you a pay cut, or even fire you! =P

If you mean will you own all the contents of the Collection, then the answer is yes.
If you mean will GOG mark the Collection as owned, of course not.
Note that if you got Frozen Synapse from "give it to a friend" code that came with the original purchase (like me), it's currently not possible to buy the Red add-on, since the store doesn't recognise the base game as owned ("You need Frozen Synapse to buy this..."). :-/

Ticket to support is sent.

Thanks, good to know. I played Startopia back when and enjoyed it. As far as micro-managing the station inhabitants goes, how do the two compare? From the reviews of Space Colony I've read it sounds like they have almost no initiative of their own and have to be told to do about anything.

No problem! I'm not sure about Space Colony as i haven't played it for the same reason as you. Which is a shame (for it to focus on Sims gameplay) because otherwise the game looks stunning. So, what i know about it is what i've read in the reviews and nothing more (haven't tried the demo yet).

Maybe i'll buy it sometime in the future but for now i'll pass. Pretty much what i say everytime it goes on sale! :P

Haha, alright. Will ponder it some more too I guess :)
still waiting for a promo with slender and montags mount gog!!!!
How's the performance in Eador MotB in the latest version? I read that there was a lot of performance issues even for people with decent hardware. I know it's turn-based but unfortunately it's modern and it has animations so no excuses for low performance IMO.
