Which games are keeping you company this weekend?

It's a bit unfair to other games that right now No Man's Sky is dominating all the online and watercooler discussions, isn't it? But there's so much stuff to talk about in there! While we're on the subject, though, what's your favorite space-themed game ever? Is it No Man's Sky? A roguelike? Perhaps a 4X strategy. Or a simulator. Whatever it is, let's talk about it!

How does your gaming weekend look, by the way? Go on, share your Weekend Playlist with us. It can include single-player games, multiplayer games, console exclusives, anything - we are not judging. In fact, we are sharing too!

Looking for some additional inspiration? The GOG.com releases of the week might help:

- You can design and ride your own Bounty Train through the unforgiving Old West.
- You can expand your Ashes of the Singularity tactics in the new maps included in the Oblivion DLC.
- You can go back to your RTS roots and let the four alien races duke it out in War Wind and War Wind II.
- You can show the Olympian gods who's boss by stomping on their arrogant heads with your angry Okhlos.
- You can venture into the heavy-metal lands of legend and shred some demons in the re-launched Slain: Back From Hell.

So, GOGasaurs, what are you playing this weekend?
It's a toss up between Deadpool and Just Cause 3.
I'll be resuming my playtime with Underrail. I didn't really get any game time during this past week, so I'm quite looking forward to that. I ended my last run shortly after getting to the Junkyard. So far I'm quite enjoying it.

Favorite space-themed game you ask? I guess it would be a toss-up between Wing Commander: Privateer and X-Wing Alliance.
In the lack of Slain, I'll be playing Odallus. And maybe some Wasted.
Hopefully, back on PZ and try Space Engineers again...

For the favorite space-thing... Gradius III. Yep.
Freelancer or Freespace 2 for the 3d thingy.
War Wind, War Wind 2, War Wind again, War Wind 2 again, War Wind, War Wind 2....
All about GOG this Weekend: War Wind, X Beyond the Frontier, Block'hood and Sheltered.
Hopefully one or more of: Avernum Escape from the Pit, Toren, Men of War and JULIA.

Favourite space-themed game ? easy, Alpha Centauri.
Going to try and finish my simcity 3000 city. Then I don't know.
I haven't yet decided on my game company this weekend; my favorite space-themed game - classic X-COMs.
Somehow I will play The Sims some more. The old laptop I installed it on has nearly broken power cord so it either works or it doesn't... at this time, doesn't. Might just install it somewhere else.

Other options are The Sims 2, Playstation era Tomb Raider games I got from that sale, Pharaoh and Alpha Centauri I got from that other sale and installed on that Sims computer, and idling on several MMORPGS (currently LOTRO).

Space game? I don't know. Spaaaace...
-Hard West
-Thea: The Awakening
-Zombie Night Terror
I'll be playing more of No Man's Sky, silky smooth for me now the patch has been released, and strangely addictive.

I will also play either Bioshock or Broken Sword - Directors cut.

Probably my favourite space game was Wing Commander 3. When it first came out, it was like playing a film, which was novel back then.

Plus it had Mark Hamill in it. Which was also quite novel.
No Man's Sky (REALLY loving this game)

maybe some Minecraft and/or revisiting the Mohave in Fallout:New Vegas

As its supposed to be 100+ most of this weekend I'm not going out of the house unless its an emergency OR to see KUBO & the 2 strings
I recently beat Mario Galaxy which is in space. It was okay. Very easy, and annoying camera.

Currently I am going through Dead Space for the first time. Very cool game. It's like they made Event Horizon into a video game. My favorite parts so far are when you go into zero atmosphere and zero gravity parts of the ship. There is usually a hull breach and a breathtaking view of space. Even the effects of opening the door, the air rushing out, the female voice informing you "Entering zero atmosphere", and everything being so quiet in space. I'm on chapter 4 so not even half way yet. Very atmospheric game!

Although I do have fond memories of Wing Commander as well, my favorite space themed game would have to be the first Star Fox. That game was cool. I would beat it just to get to this one level that was like flying through a bunch of corridors. And I loved at the end of certain levels all the Arwings would warp into space one by one.

Oh wait! I forgot about Battlezone! By far the coolest space themed game! I freaking LOVE that game! I haven't picked up the remaster yet, but can't wait to play it. I was SO excited when it came to GOG. My buddy and I used to play death match all the time, sometimes during work. This game taught me how to circle strafe. I own the original boxed version and the gold box edition, as well as Battlezone 2.

Anyway, today is my 38th Birthday! Yay! Anyone have an extra key for Slain: Back From Hell?
pharaoh
I will probably make some progress on Genghis Khan campaign of Age of Empires II. Also thinking of spending considerable amount of time on my new addiction: Killing Floor

If you count it as space-themed, my favorite would definitely be StarCraft and StarCraft: Brood War. More closely related, I would say Descent: Freespace - The Great War.
Odallus: The Dark Call
