Hickory: Witcher2 is down from 12 pages of spam to just 3, thanks, I guess, to toxicTom's new script. Keep it up, peeps.
Yep, that was me.

Thank you for the fabulous script, toxicTom!!! +1

toxicTom: It's intended for a "bookmarklet".
1. Make your bookmarks bar visible.
2. Create a new Bookmark
3. Enter a name and instead of an URL the code (beginning with javascript:)
4. Open the FO subforum (or TW2, BG, NWN, M&M...) and click the bookmarlet to run the script.

Scripts:
http://pastebin.com/5igxmQ6v - This one will allow you to select spam threads and mark them.
http://pastebin.com/FwajrBme- This one will preselect all threads on the current page. Careful! Be sure to deselect all legit threads before hitting that spam button!

I recommend using Firefox, since every single spam report creates an alert window. Those block Chrome, but FF allows to work on (i.e. hit F5 or CTRL-R). Haven't tested in Chrome this time, it's too unwieldy due to the alert-problem. But should work in principle.
Thanks for the scripts. Awesome work!

phaolo: I still don't understand the utility of spamming... does anyone really read\use those sh**ty messages?
It is for SEO
Forums currently under attack (if you weren't already aware) are:

Baldur's Gate
Fallout
Might & Magic
Neverwinter Nights
The Witcher 2

Hickory: I marked every single spam, in all of the sub-forums, with toxicTom's new multi script in a matter of ~10 minutes (wasn't keeping count), and that includes 12 whole pages in W2. Magic.
exactly! new toxicTom's scripts are great weapons in this bam war!

PaterAlf: Yep, that was me.
Not alone. It takes multiple reports to remove a thread.

It's like shoveling water from a leaking boat. I just gave you/us a bigger bucket - but it keeps coming...
GOG needs to fix the leak.

Wow, we cleared most of the spam out... for now - GoG really needs to do something about this. Instituting Captcha for anyone with less than 50 rep should be good enough.

Yes, I know. Thank you to everyone who's fighting the spam war!

well, we all know this.. but until GOG finds the solution to stop the attack, it's way better and much much less annoying to clean the subforums

All stop it now before I blush. It's just a little JavaScript, not rocket science.

Yes. Just a little JS that saves you 90% of the time needed to mark 20 pages of spam. :P

Hey, don't sell yourself short. The subforums have been drowning in spam, and while GOG slunk away to their beach shacks to think about it, you threw out a lifebelt. Then you went away and came back with a lifeboat. You're a hero in my book.

Nope. It's for SEO the way it worked... uhm... 7 or 8 years ago!? Google isn't THAT stupid anymore, you know? When GoogleBot sees hundreds of links posted on one website in a couple of minutes, it knows that it's spam. Especially when you're the only guy posting in Korean on an English board. The effect: You'll get a -1000 penalty and drop out of the SERPS (search results). Spamming backlinks on dead communities doesn't work anymore.

Isn't it an useless SEO, if nobody clicks on those links?

Also.. wow, you quoted post 13 from post 1423 XD
