Patch 2.01 for Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty is now live on GOG! It fixes the most common issues players have encountered and improves overall performance of the game, especially in Dogtown.

Besides the Phantom Liberty-specific fixes and adjustments, Patch 2.01 also covers quests & open world, overall gameplay, UI and achievements issues, miscellaneous, and of course many more things to make your experience better.

For the highlight of the most important fixes and improvements head over HERE, and to check out all the changes jump straight into the game!

tfishell: Personally I'd be okay with Gog editing the top reviews with "Update: ... " info to reflect this, since currently the top four reviews all mention the Galaxy crashing issue and give it 1 star for it. (I recognize there's still the matter of Rewards and Drops of course.)
avatar
SargonAelther: GOG should not touch people's reviews!
GOG should implement review editing for users themselves. It's 2023. If they make evergreen games, they should allow evergreen reviews.
Well gog.com removed my reviews of Metro 2033 Redux and Metro Last Light Redux which way back in 2015 I said I will not purchase them until the original versions of Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light is included in their purchases.

tfishell: They've done it previously, leaving the original review alone but editing in an "update" on top. Of course I also agree about implementing review editing.
avatar
SargonAelther: The problem is that they can do that for their own games, but do they do that for 3rd party games that are suffering from outdated reviews? Probably not, which makes this a bit unfair for the 3rd party games.

Users being able to edit their own reviews would be fair. The ability for users to comment on reviews would also allow the community to point out whether a review is up to date or not.
It could also automatically mention if any updates have come out since the review was posted.

Like the DRM you added?

...

No?

So I guess you still don't want my money.
The new patch downgraded my gorilla arms.

The game works without Galaxy, stop with the nonsense.
The game does not update, the update fails while getting the list of files.

You need a Twitch account for the Twitch drops, you need a Twitch account for the Twitch drops, you need a Twitch account for the Twitch drops, you need a Twitch account for the Twitch drops.

The Twitch dropings? No thanks. Game runs with offline installers in all its glory. No DRM then.

Nope, not all its glory, some are forbidden, behind DRMs.

Don't see anything in there about fixing the scaling of skill checks so i'm going to go ahead and assume it's meant to be there which means i'm going to stick with 1.63 and won't be getting PL because i'm not up for mickey mouse gaming.

I could trudge through the idiocy of level scaling that shifts some linearity in exploration to linearity in character progression but scaling of skill ckecks it's as mediocre as it gets - quite honestly whoever came up with it should be legally barred from going anywhere near videogames in the making ever again.

Speaking of 1.63, and on the subjects of "game preservation" and "making games last forever, I'd really like to know when we can expect 1.63 offline installers since for all intended purposes 2.0 is a whole new game in the "old" setting and 1.63 should be preserved free from the clutches of the "optional" client.

Yeah level scaling can sometimes make players feel weaker with every level, unless they are really good at the game. Oblivion is probably the worst example with random bandits running around in full Daedric gear later in the game.

It's there in the extras section.

So it is, just spotted it. Thanks for pointing it out and kudos to gog for preserving 1.63 - much appreciated., truly.

I dislike level scaling in general but my problem is not enemy level scaling but the scaling of skill checks, specifically, dialogue skill checks.

Dude content is still locked behind Digital Rights Management (DRM).

I have the opposite problem: I see the 1.63 version in the extras section, but not the 2.0 or 2.01 version.
