I have to say, I've been more active here for the last few months and found it to be fun enough.

real.geizterfahr: Egosoft? Cool! Superbox already is DRM free, so this shouldn't be a problem for them. And Egosoft is known for removing the DRM from their games after a while, so maybe we get Albion prelude too.

I hope they'll allow us to redeem the games with the serial from the Superbox. This was possible on Steam, but I never did it.
Here you go.
It would be nicer if we stick to talking about good games and progress on old gems showing up good old games but instead we are fighting about drm , steam , rep and what not ....

Sigh the gog forums once upon a time was just that.

tort1234: You are right.

He has to make useless threads about "my wife is gonna have a third baby" and other BS that no one else gives a crap about.

He has NEVER said anything insightful about gaming or other areas of life.

He has no problem breeding like rabbits with his wife, but when minorities or immigrants do it then its bad and he has to make long rants about it.

PLUS he whines and whines about his numerous medical problems and loss of job. As if anyone here cares about his problems.
Opening and reading every single thread is mandatory; whoever does not abid willingly, is forced to at gun point. Must be the latest rule/policy to the forums.

Most fun post in this thread, have a +1.

LOL, i seriously LOVE these dramatic threads.

Every forum seems to have quite a bunch of them.

And the usual answer is "Don't let the door slam on your way out".

Gotta love the internet! SO MUCH DRAMA!

tinyE: I used to be a four star. :-(
And then you took an arrow in the knee?

stg83: Well atleast you still have stars. ;)

tinyE: Good point, and now I feel like a total asshole for mentioning it. Sorry.

Rep isn't the reason I'm pissed, I'm pissed because the people who are destroying/have destroyed this place, are proud of it, like it was a noble effort. I for the life of me don't get the motivation to come in and do that. Shit, the forum wasn't bothering anyone. I could see the point if it was an ecological hindrance, but no. We were just a group of gamers hanging out and having a good time, and some assholes decided "Hey, let's go in and trash that for no reason at all."

Boggles the mind.
Some people just want to watch the world burn.

-Why is she limping?

-Because an arrow hit her in the shoulder.

-Oh. Wait, huh?

stg83: Well as some folks have summarized before, this community is a little too generous for its own good it seems, Free games is what mostly attracts unsavory and juvenile characters that thrive on scamming/exploiting others for sport or whatever measly satisfaction it brings to their sad and pathetic existence. But expecting the community to completely stop doing what they have since almost the beginning of this forum is not a long term solution and neither is ignoring all the shit in the various threads because it won't disappear by itself.
Personally, what's really mind-boggling to me is that people continue to do things like openly trade with users they don't know, or drop random free-range codes, then complain when they either (a) get ripped off in trading or (b) have to deal with the scammers who've flocked here because of the code dropping. And all this despite the fact that we've tried so hard to implement relatively simple community-driven measures to minimize scamming, or warn people against indiscriminate trades.

Sometimes, I think that the real reason why this forum and community will implode won't be because of GOG's apathy -- it'll be because of the abject self-destructive stubbornness of people in general.
Hmm, well, you and me didn't always see eye to eye but, you spoke your mind, and usually stood your ground. Adios.

You are right though, this place has changed gradually over the years. Spammers and scammers. Circlejerkers who hate everything but GOG and thinks this forum needs to be constantly reminded. Overall it has really gotten lame. I'm still around just to see a few people's posts here that I respect. I'm not tired of offering my 2 cents just yet.

GOG itself feels split up. The store/game side of things is doing fucking amazing. I've been extremely happy with that! But the website/forum side of things is just slowly falling apart. It's like a giant stain of decay on this site... the last chunk, the Galaxy side of things, is kind of just... there... slowly making progress.

Is this a quote from Elementary (only seen first season).
Because of bad continuity the original Watson's injury jumped between shoulder and knee.

IMDB does not have Conan Doyle as a credited writer for that.
