Ancient-Red-Dragon: after tons of tedious repeatedly dying and grinding --- your equipment and stats become powerful enough that you stop getting owned constantly.
But that's an 'Achievement' surely... :P
I don't see anything else from Bandai Namco here, so don't hold your breath.

toupz111: Sekiro any good?

Zimerius: The first 30 mins are pretty ok, can't vouch for the boss fights though, or the other parts of the game for that matter. I fear it will be the same experience as Nioh, first five hours manage to pull you in, great fights and then... you have some weird demon boss hidden in a ship with routines as an attack... bleh, it seems to be expected from the souls genre, personally i prefer somewhat more personality. The souls like that managed to grab my attention best atm is Jedi - Fallen Order
Jedi - fallen order is a fantastic game, been through twice. Other than a little bit of Disney rubbish with the characters, it’s really all over a good game. I wouldn’t however call it souls like, it’s a metroidvania if anything. Sure the bosses have some pattern attacks, but mostly it’s back and slash with the odd QTE. On a normal run through an average player won’t die more a few times, mostly from falling off the edges on the jumps.
Sekiro, I agree first 30-60mins was ok and fun, then it got to the repeat over and over to beat one guy at which point I got bored and went and played something else and this set an e really sums up “souls-like” games to me, all the same.

I belief EA themselves used the tag 'souls like' at least steam has it rated as souls like too, but not 'difficult'. Still some of those monsters gave me the creeps but yea, nothing that comes near the experience such as Lords of the Fallen or Mortal Shell for that matter. Jedi Fallen Order also does not come near games such as Nier Automata or KoA. Maybe more like For Honor with more exploration

Yeah, thats just applying buzzwords though, like rougulike, crafting, procedural. If you like Jedi, I can recommend God Of War the newer one (well all of them really!) as its similar just axes instead of lightsabers, and less jedi mind powers and more growly brooding dialog (and a disembodied head as well)!

I enjoyed the previous GoW titles a lot! Though, my monthly allowance is forcing my hand in some tough choices! I thought i could do with 30 euro's a month. So far bought Distant Worlds 2 and Total Warhammer 3. that is like 4 months of allowance.... and we just entered march and i started in december.... problems!! problems!!!

I don't know about Demons Souls but every Souls game, Bloodborne and Elden Ring have an online-by-default multiplayer invasion system as well as rare in-game items that can be exploited if you have multiple installs and copies of the same savegame. Releasing any of them here would require complete reworks of those mechanics so I doubt they'll do it, even if they acknowledged DRM-free as an option people want to buy.
Bought it on Steam and I hate it. Sucks on PC using mouse and keyboard, and I ain't putting out $ for a controller just to play one game. I'm having more fun playing Divine Divinity (2001!) which I just found here on GOG for $5.99.

Kelefane: Think GOG will get Elden Ring? Seems like a fun game.
Yes, eventually... but it will be a weekly freebie on Epic Games Store long before that likely. Not any time soon of course, but in some number of years... Patience... :)
