All-new gameplay footage with developer commentary + Q&A session on Twitch.tv/GOGcom!

This coming Monday, GOG.com and CD PROJEKT RED invite you to a special live streamed event at the GOG.com Twitch channel!

We'll be showcasing 15 minutes of completely fresh The Witcher: Wild Hunt gameplay highlights, while Damien Monnier - Senior Gameplay Designer, and Miles Tost - Level Designer, will be coming in live from the studio to provide developer commentary for the new footage. They'll be offering their insight, and an exclusive peek at the development process behind closed curtains at CD PROJEKT RED.

Once the gameplay commentary is finished, we will hold a live Q&A session on the air. Damien Monnier and Miles Tost will take the time to respond to live comments coming in via Twitch chat, as well as to select questions from the GOG.com community forums! It's a rare opportunity to ask about all the saucy details of The Witcher: Wild Hunt development.

If you have any questions for the folks at CD PROJEKT RED, you can submit them right here in this thread. You have until Sunday, Jan 25 at 7:00 PM GMT to submit your questions, when we'll be selecting the most interesting ones to throw at the devs during the live chat.

The live stream will begin on Monday Jan 26 7:00 PM GMT / 2:00 PM EST / 11:00 AM PST (you will find a countdown clock below) at Twitch.tv/GOGcom. Follow our channel for an e-mail alert when we go live. We'll see you there!

Will there be a Linux version of the game at launch, or even a little bit afterwards?

This is important. Linux is the future! :)

It for sure won't be at launch - there is no doubt about it. It won't be even a bit afterwards. Question about the future is a good one however.

Sorry if I sound rude, I mean no disrespect, as I really like you, but there are things that baffles me. Have you hired anyone from Bioware? I mean, pre-order started back in November, same as ME3. I noticed someone who looks like Chris Priestly on W3 forums. You stated that W3 is standalone game for new players, almost the same was said in case with ME3. I'd understood such statement in case with W1, where some characters, mention from books were a pleasant sight, but W3, after seven books and two established games?

Not that I'm graphic nut, but will W3 suffer certain degree of downgrade to fit lowest denominator in terms of hardware, and that's, obviously, the consoles (yes-yes, I've heard that fixed hardware is easier to work with, than entire PC market menagerie)? I don't think we need another Watch_dogs here, that looked nice early on, but finally was... "less than stellar". I concur with SpeeX97, and I'd like to know what kind of performance we can expect from recommended system extortions, since hardware required is not the cheapest one, and I'd like to see it at work, not by bad optimization, if possible. Even if you proved that in nine month you can roll out enhanced edition, unlike some other developers. *sniff* Implications unpleasant. We have more than enough blurry textures, and visibility range of a dense fog.
Green or red... No, it's not about ending explosion colour selection, it's about GPU optimization - is W3 optimized for Nvidia cards or for AMD cards? Because I plan to upgrade my PC specifically for optimal W3 performance.

What about controls and UI? I'm PC player, who plays with mouse and keyboard, and I want to play PC game, not console port that is working on PC, and optimized for gamepad. I mean no "press spacebar to do everything" please, my mouse has more buttons than gamepad.

Also I second Aducan's question about minor characters. They may be insignificant, but we still like them. Please, don't kill them through twitter messages.

Final question: If Thunderbolt is based on 0.5 litres of alcohol, and to make it, Geralt needs to mix Cemetaur jaw, 2 units of Bloedzuiger blood, Vodyanoi scales, and Ghoul's blood, how much alcohol he needs to sip from bottle, to fit all ingredients in, and for how long he needs to medidate afterwards to wake up refreshed, and without hangover? Will he need some pickled cucumbers or kapusta kwaszona (because it is not sauerkraut!) to relief headache?

Thanks.
When you play as Ciri, will her missions be open or linear?
Hello,

Will we get to see Du Du/shapeshifter creature within Novigrad or within the game? Also, will half-lings be in the game?

You guys are the best!!!! Woot Woot Woot :)

With Best Regards,
Jakub H.
Hello,

I was just wondering if it will have footprints in the snow?

and how many haircuts will be availabe ?

Thanks
When can we expect more of the free DLC to be revealed?
What aspect or element of the game, small or large, are you most proud of, that we will never see? (Be it a certain animation, object, level design, etc)

Anything that's had lots of work put into, that helps so subtly with world immersion, but the majority of players will completely miss. Maybe we can look for some of these things when we finally get our hands on it. :)

My question:

Do you plan to implements features for keeping the game away from aging like you did with The Witcher 2 and Uber Sampling? Thanks to that The Witcher 2 is still one of the best looking game ever I think.

You guys said we can go to any place we can see in the game. Does that mean we can climb high mountains and we can swim? Will the game take savefile form the first witcher game? or just the second one?
Another technical question: I know that many people were annoyed with the saving system in The Witcher 2 for the PC: racking up hundreds of save files, which were difficult to differentiate, and time-consuming to delete in-game. Some people, myself included, would have preferred the save system from the first Witcher. Will saving resemble that in the first or the second game? And, on that note, will you allow the option for auto-save to be turned off?
Cheers.
Do You fight each other sometimes?

- It suppose be like this!
- Nope! Like this!
- Are You stiupid?! Like this!
- You m.....f...r
Wham!!! Boom!!! Splash!!!
Hi!
1. Will Geralt be having one-night stands like The Witcher 1?
2. Are you planning to lower the graphic bloom and fading of the graphics?
3. Why haven't you changed the design of the icons in the inventory and bomb's design?

Thanks!

Thanks for all the questions! I handed them over in a neat list for CD PROJEKT RED guys to pick the ones for the stream. Remember to come by twitch.tv/gogcom tonight - the Q&A starts at 7PM GMT / 2PM EST / 11AM PST!
Ciris, what had happened? Why you are so moody blue? Are you unwell, or just cold? Get better soon, red is much more appropriate colour. And lively one. I can tell. ;)
