rawmilk905: I see the filename for this update is simply "patch_neverwinter_nights_2_complete_2.0.1.6.exe" while the installers themselves are 2.1.0.6, which would lead me to believe the patch is not needed if one has current installers. It might be better practice to name a patch for the version it converts to rather than from.
avatar
WhoKnowscs: I think it is the new version but I think it should be "'from version'_to_'new version'" or maybe just "to_'new version'" regardless of start version even though I believe it already is the new version.
It is, we can see that from the language on the website, but not from the language in the filename, which is a problem.

this patch is for those who still have an older installer than the one avaible right now , if you already downloaded the latest installer , discard this patch

edit ; also as you noticed the patch should be named 2.1.0.6 not 2.0.1.6 , there's a typo in the name of the file. >.>

Klumpen0815: I only want one game to be unbundled because instead of all the others there'd even be an advantage in it and that is Gothic 2 Gold in order to be able to play the lower difficulty again and guess what, it's probably the only game that will not be unbundled. -.-
This little tool could help you. Better than nothing.

Thanks!
Although I thought of not installing NdR at all, I have to say customizing it may even be a better idea, getting not enough skillpoints each level is one of the worst changes anyway, apart from being forced to do the addon area with such a low magical circle as a mage that you have to rely on weapons while having not enough skill points to spend on secondary traits. They really messed up the balancing in the addon...

The Book of Unbundled Tales, Chapter 94:

The bug whereby M.A.X. had two complete sets of identical bonuses, while M.A.X. 2 had zero has been fixed. Now each games has its own set of identical bonuses.

I believe it is safe to say that GOG is making an earnest attempt to fix unbundling bugs faster after this wave than it did after the first wave. I get a distinct feeling that around April 15-16 GOG had an internal meeting where they decided to improve their track record vis-a-vis the website and the community. Just a feeling.
That's called prevaricacíon in spanish speaking countries :P

Summary:
- The Mac installers are back for LotR 1 and LotR 2, but not for LotR 1 CD. No idea whether this is intentional, but I did notice that the old bundled installer was 936 MB in size, whereas the two unbundled installers are only 662 MB, so there might be something still missing.
- The product_bonuses have also regained their normal names. The files themselves didn't change.

Alternatively, the main unbundling personage is back from vacation. Resulting in additional unbundles, but also quicker bug fixes. This view has the added benefit of being more pessimistic. ;)

"Main unbundling personage" sounds a bit weak. How about "Wrapping paper tycoon"?

Too carefree. Given the result to the library it needs a more ominous overtone.

The LotR1 (floppy) is the dos version and uses Boxer/Dosbox, LotR1 (cd) is the windows version and uses Wineskin/Wine. So far there is just the floppy version, the intaller of the cd version is still missing and would explain the filesize difference.

I kinda like the first one. It just needs that little bit: "Grand Moff wrapping paper tycoon"?
