Doing this I never had the problem you described - not even before the fix. The only method I was able to reproduce the bug was to play until a loading screen (enter the door with the "mill" sign i.e.) and then wait for the music to end without restarting.

That was only the first part of this bug...

Nop, it works fine here, no problem at all after the fix, quick save and quick load, new levels, different music, try to install this version and see if it works (the gog.com).

You are right I forgot that but just tried and nop, music is fine.

If you are you using this game from Galaxy try to use Hexen II folder and launch H2.exe or GLH2.exe from it, i don't know what's happening...

No, I don't use Galaxy, I donwload the installer from here, I tried use H2.exe and worked too, now I installed in other computer with an AMD card and an AMD Processor, but is working fine too, I don't know what it could be the problem, if I find a solution I will let you know!
In the meantime try with the source port (http://uhexen2.sourceforge.net/) to see if that solve your problem for the moment.

In Source Port there are other problems (with graphics); music works fine...
