Questions:

1) How many unplayed games do you currently have (GOG + non GOG)?
2) How do you select a new game to play from the above?
3) How many games do you play concurrently?
4) Do you normally play games through to completion before moving on to another game?
1. I don't count the number of unplayed games I have (it isn't small).

2. I don't restrict myself to unplayed games I own. It is very common for me to replay games instead of playing new ones.

3. Typically just 1.

4. Often, but sometimes I get tired of the game and quit early, especially if there are too many permanent choices to be made. Sometimes, I start thinking of another game to play, and will quit the first game. I might get back to the first game eventually, either continuing or starting from scratch.
1. About 20
2. I first select one that I get from personal giveaway (to respect the giver) and not too heavy on requirements. The last to be play was usually one from mass giveaway.
3. Three at most.
4. Yes.
1. I'd estimate it to be around 300 all up, including other digital platforms, console games, and old boxed PC games I've collected over the years that never got around to.

2. Usually mood. Sometimes I just want to play a slow burn strategy (stellaris, total war etc), other times I want to shoot things for 20 minutes.

3. Usually only 1 or 2. The last few years I haven't had much time to game, usually only a few hours a week.

4. No. In truth I usually get side swiped my life, and weeks go past without me playing a game, and when I eventually get time, I'm keen for a different experience. I still havne't finished Far Cry 5, Dragon Age Inquisition, and a host of other games I came awfully close to finishing.
1) I'd have to check super scientifically but I'd say that 80% to 90% of my games are unplayed.

2) I, uh, select the... one that I... want to play next ? Due to wanting to play it next ? What can I say, the one that fits the current parameters of mood, availability, etc ? Some times none fit for a while, because my moods and availability are elsewhere ?

3) I play actively one, two, or three games. I can have dozens of non-uninstalled games on pause for years, though.

4) I tell myself that I do. I tend to. But I also accumulate games that I didn't. I usually refuse to uninstall a game that I haven't completed, though. So, when I need room, I ensure the completion of a big one.

Symphony8: Questions:

1) How many unplayed games do you currently have (GOG + non GOG)?
2) How do you select a new game to play from the above?
3) How many games do you play concurrently?
4) Do you normally play games through to completion before moving on to another game?
1) Way too many...

2) I try to find out what my mood says (SciFi? Fantasy? Zombies? then shooter? tactics? point'n'click?). Then I install a bunch of games which look like they accommodate this mood (maybe 5-10). I then try them one after another, each for an hour or so until one "clicks" and I stick with it.

3) 2-4 "real games", but they have to be of different genres/settings (1 RPG, 1 shooter...). Then I always have a bunch of "quick fixes" like pinball games, Race the Sun, stuff like that.

4) I try, but very often I don't. Sometimes it's just change of mood, sometimes getting stuck or frustrated, sometimes disappointment, but most of the time it's like: life gets in the way, can't play for a while, when I come back to it finally I'm totally at a loss as to what I was doing.
1) ~60-70 across every platform but which is about 10% of all games I own.

2) If it's a short game I'll play through it if I have free time, longer games I usually only play if nothing good has come out recently

3) Usually 1-2. I do have several games I plan to "Go back to" like Dark Souls (Stupid final boss...)

4) I do have a habit of rage quitting but I complete around 80 - 90% of games I start.

1.It would actually take too long to count them, external HD's and PC's and CD's.Of course there is more on 3'' and floppies which will never see the light of day.

2.I don't.It's pretty rare if I install a new game as I just keep returning to my installed.

3.Two or three but I try to keep playing all, mainly because I usually just start over again if I cant remember where I was.

4.I used too,but not anymore.
Here's some stats for you:
195 completed and 382 not completed games
Completes 15-20 games per year, on average 24 since 2010
Buy on average 72 games per year since 2010
2494 hours playtime since Galaxy beta (2015?)

Usually have 5-6 games installed in various genres and jumps to a different genre when a game is completed. Games are completed to me when either it's too boring and not worth my time or when I'm not getting anything more out of it. Games that have a good story I usually play to the end.
1. I don't really know.

2. Often enough, it comes from someone mentioning a game in a thread. For example, I'm probably going to play UnderRail next because it came up in discussion a few days ago. "I should check it out!"

3. Two at most. Usually just one.

4. Maybe 50-50? Depends on the definition of "completion", silly as that sounds. For example, did you complete a game if you played through the main campaign but haven't played any of the skirmish maps? Played through the Ranger path but didn't try any of the other character options?
1) How many unplayed games do you currently have (GOG + non GOG)?
A. Just counted. Looks like about 70.

2) How do you select a new game to play from the above?
A. I ask myself "What am I in the mood for?" Yesterday, I just wanted to play something easy, so I installed Magrunner. The day before that, I was mostly playing Armed and Dangerous. A lot of games have issues on modern hardware, such as not supporting widescreen. So, I'll often put off playing those games until I can figure out how to get them working correctly.

3) How many games do you play concurrently?
A. At any given time I have 10-20 games in some state of completion (edit: that I haven't given up on and continue playing)

4) Do you normally play games through to completion before moving on to another game?
A. Nope. I play whatever I'm in the mood for. I get a little burned out when playing one game constantly. I need to take a break and mix it up with a different game at least once a day.

1) If we are only including purchased games, 13. GOG freebies, 55 for a total of 68 unplayed games

2) Usually it depends on my mood, if I'm unsure, I'll usually pick a game which I can dive right into and not spend time learning mechanics

3) Usually just one but sometimes I'll shelve one game for a bit to finish another. If we don't include SpaceChem, I never have 4 in progress games going at the same time.

4) Yes I do, unless the game is horrendously bad or buggy, especially the game breaking kind.
1) A couple hundred or so.

2) Mood. Sometimes I'm in the mood for a new... drawn out adventure where RPG's rule the day. Then others I want a brain tickling strategy to get the juices flowing. It's just really whatever I feel like at the time and it changes.

3) This is the one that I'm likely quite a bit different than most as I play several games concurrently. For example, I am ALWAYS playing 3 games... OOTP Baseball, World Boxing Manager, and Motorsport Manager. These are all sports sims that never end. I maintain careers and records and they just go on and on like real life sports. At the same time I'm also almost always playing at least one RPG and most of the time 2. And I usually always have at least one strategy going. During the day I will play all of them sometimes, one of them sometimes, or anything in between. As an example, in addition to the three games I mentioned above, at the moment I'm playing Fallout 4 (Level 35 in Survivor Mode Perma-death). I'm playing a replay of Soulbringer.. I'm also in the middle of an epic Civ IV BTS game. As well as an epic Lord of the Realms I game where I'm now up to 7 counties. I'm also in the middle of a game of Syberia I. And I've been dabling around with FTL.. a game I've never really got into but recently seem to be doing just that. I play lots of games concurrently.

4) That depends on the game. If it's a game I'm enjoying... then yes I usually do finish it (or try to.. looking at you Divine Divinity where I've played several play throughs and still haven't beaten the bitch at the end). But if it's a game that's just "meh" then no... I don't force it just to be able to say "I finished it." It's more important to me to have fun and enjoyment than to be able to say to myself (much less anyone else since I could care less) "Yay I finished it."
Questions:

1) How many unplayed games do you currently have (GOG + non GOG)?

I have made a list of all the games I have yet to play. It numbers 424

2) How do you select a new game to play from the above?

I made up that list in an spreadsheet, gave every game a score from 1-10 of how much I think I'd like it, then let Open Office do the sorting. If I want to start a new game, I start reading the games list from the top, till I find anything that strikes my fancy at the moment. To make choices easier, one column is dedicated to game genre.

3) How many games do you play concurrently?

Many. 29 to be exact. Often a game stays unprogressed for months at a time. My time's divided between just a few games at a time, but I have 21 games installed at the time (with the 9 ongoing campaigns divided among the two Baldur's Gate games makes 29 games in total). *edit: Super scientific, isn't it?

4) Do you normally play games through to completion before moving on to another game?

Playing until the end is the norm, but I often quit a game if a. I hit a point where the game gets to difficult to progress or b. the game bores me. Both happen a lot. My list of aborted games/campaigns is longer than the list of completed games/campaigns. To finish a campaign, it needs to be both doable and enjoyable and I don't have much patience for games that are too boring or too difficult.
