disappointed no new files added to the sale daily, but then again guess it is also nice to have all titles on sale - though 14 days with no changes seems a little long and hard to maintain interest / momentum in the sale.

I will say that personally I have bought 36 new titles in this sale so far.. I still have stuff in my wishlist that is on sale, but generally I wait until sales reduce prices down to 50% or more of RRP.

I'm hoping we get more bundles with completion bonus.

It would be nice, but I doubt it.

The discounts for already discounted titles won't go deeper for sure. And considering the number of games being currently on sale we should not expect significant additions, I suppose.

But in the past, haven't GOG made a announcement whenever the full sale is available? I was expecting such an announcement tomorrow or Friday.

EDIT: An yes, I would not expect the games currently on sale, to be bundled for completion bonus. I was talking about bundles with new games.

Me too. A $50 completion bonus would make sense. $100 might be high enough I could have trouble spending that much, but if the completion bonus were good enough, $100 leaking out of my wallet :)

Not what I was referring to, but I wouldn't complain if they were to add more unlocks.

Can you explain? I seem to not know what you're talking about.

I was saying that I'm hoping for more bundles, where if you buy the complete bundle, you get a completion bonus. For example the Sherlock Holmes bundle. Each game form that bundle is 85% off, but if you buy them all, you get an overall 90% discount.

Thanks, I didn't know it had a name. I'm actually not a fan. Getting a bigger discount for completing a series only compels me to buy games I don't want and will never play, and that negative feeling lingers a long time. Humble Bundle has a much better business strategy. They give back a percentage of money spent as store credit, and that pot of free money keeps me coming back to their site, looking for something to spend it on. I would prefer to spend all my money on GOG instead, but you see, that's the beauty of Humble Bundle's way - I don't want to shop there, but they still succeed in pulling me back.

GOG ought to copy that strategy. If I spend $100 on the sale, why not give me back $5 in store credit, so I can spend it on more stuff here at GOG? The only reason I can think of that this strategy might not work as well for GOG as it does for Humble Bundle is because GOG's inventory of games is much more limited. However, that is improving, with lots of new releases coming to GOG on the first day. I would feel much more comfortable spending "free" money on full-price games, or games that aren't at historic low discounted prices.

GOG customers as a group are a bunch of cheapskates. I know, because I am one. I see a game I want for $1.99 and I pass on it because the historic low is $1.79 or something stupid like that. With free store credit laying around in my account, I would be much more loose with my money. GOG would probably have good success in "training" people to buy what they want, when they want it, instead of passively allowing them to wait until all the profit margin is discounted-away.

Free games are nice. Bundle completion bonus discounts are nice. But, neither of those give me the games I want. A change in strategy to reward big-spending customers with more incentives to spend seems like a good idea to me. Making people happier about the games they get from GOG (because they actually want them and will play them) seems like a good idea to me.

I noticed that 5% bonus you can get as a reward towards the humble wallet, and I don't know how much it influences my purchasing habits. I see that as Humble's gimmick, that and the Humble Monthly Bundle. For me, Gog's gimmick remains old games, I wanted to play growing up, DRM-Free.
Ziggurat is free and new games added to the sale.
Excellent giveaway! I loved Ziggurat. :)
Thanks a lot for the free Ziggurat!
Thanks for Ziggurat ; )
Many thanks for the second free game! :)
