With miko's vote (on top of popperik's "vote with majority") there appear to be 8 votes for the car. Which would seem to be a "clear" majority in a pool of 12, no?

...that's basically what happened. I decided to watch all the Star Wars movies again in preparation for the new one.
I'll get it out sometime tonight.

The votes are in! Let's review what happened today.

The day went very slowly after the jury returned. A few members were drunk, one was asleep, the defendant fired off his shotgun randomly only twice (a very calm activity, compared to his usual 6 shots), and an inebriated gypsy somehow wandered into the courtroom. While usually struggling to keep order, the bailiff did little but sit on his haunches and gently but firmly remind a juror that no deep frying was permitted in court.
In the midst of getting so utterly bored, the Puzzlemaster ordered pizza and started binge-watching a movie series. While he was distracted, the votes poured in. Much later, he checked in and realized his mistake. Waking up the judge, he quickly got to work presenting the car evidence.

Defense: "Officer, please describe the car that was parked by the field."
Officer: "It was a tan Toyota registered to the defendant. It was parked on the road beside the path of trodden-down weeds. The Toyota's trunk was open and inside was a shovel. No dirt was visible on the shovel or in the trunk; so, we assumed the implement had not been used recently.
Prosecution: "Was Mr. Whitemane's car searched for blood, fiber, hair, dirt, and the like?"
Officer: "Yes, it was."
Prosecution: "And the results?"
Officer: "There was no blood of any kind. No dirt or vegetation. We did find several hairs matching the defendant's and fibers matching his clothes. Also, several unidentified hairs and fibers. But we found nothing at all matching the late Mr. Oaks.

The jury was then released to deliberate. The day passed.

Voting for evidence is, quite obviously, a moot point at this stage, but I'm still requiring you to do it anyways. The reason I do this is because some of you might want to hand down your final verdict before bringing on the last day. If you're prepared to move on, vote ready for the final day. We will not be moving on until ALL jurors have voted that they're ready. The only people that won't need to vote are those who have already turned their verdicts in.
