--Original announcement--
Piñata Madness is back – meaning excitement, mystery, and exceptional deals on some of our favorite hand-picked titles.

What is Piñata Madness?
For $3, you can buy and smash your own digital Piñata, each holding one of 100+ mystery games worth anywhere from $5.99 all the way up to $44.99.
Visit your Pinata hub, where can buy, open, and see everything Piñata Madness!
Just like real-life Piñatas, they'll bring you joy, surprise, and reward. Unlike real-life Piñatas, ours drop really good games instead of candy – games like Pillars of Eternity, Shadow Warrior 2, Heroes of Might and Magic, Victor Vran, and more!
It's a great way to broaden your horizons and try out games you otherwise wouldn't, knowing you're always getting a deal that's worth it. And if you already own every game included in our Piñatas, each game you drop will be a giftable code so you share the joy with your friends.

Weekly Megasale
If you'd rather know exactly you're getting, check out the Weekly Megasale featuring great deals up to -90% on some of our favorite titles including Darkest Dungeon, Shadowrun: Hong Kong, Heroes of Might and Magic III, and more!

The Piñata Madness and Weekly Megasale last until August 21, 2017, 9:59 PM UTC.

[suggestion] Pinata tiers:

GoG, what if you complicate the mystery sale a bit? I'd welcome a price-tiered pinatas serving different pools of games, for example:

Piñata price | range of game prices, min..max
bronze(1) cheap..cheap and/or least Chance to Win high-priced game
silver(2x bronze) cheap..medium and/or medium CtW
gold(3xbronze ) medium..high and/or better CtW

Basically, I'd pay more for a better chance to get a game I'm more likely to play.
(no monospace to format properly?)
I see GOG have recently updated this and are contiunieng with this over the weekend - oh well.

For anybody seeing this for the first time, GOG have confirmed that they will refund games you have received from this sale and haven't downloaded (as they are required to do)

So, buy as many Pinata's as GOG lets you! Then gets refunds for all the broken worthless crap that GOG have selected to be included in this sale.

I am done with the pinatas, but of course i did get are few games that a real stinkers, i wouldn't mind getting a refund on them now that i think of that, if they don't that is fine but if they do, well even better. My experience I'm just getting games that would have been around 3 bucks on sale mostly anyways. I tryed it but nah, i rather just buy the good deals they have on sale, the games I want.

Need some help here. Although on GOG for a long time, this is actually the first time I need to ask for a refund. How do I do that?

Go to your Orders & Settings page. Find the order you want to refund. It should have an arrow pointing down that's hiding a drop down menu. Select 'Contact Support' from that menu and ask for the refund.

Can the refunds be done en mass, or do they have to be refunded one at a time? for example 6 or 7 out of 10 piñatas. And the reasons, either they're steam duplicates or games I'm just not interested in

Wish I hadn't downloaded Bombshell..

Yezemin, you were really helpful. Thanks a lot!
Bought one pinata , received crappy Positech game DLC ( Democracy 3: Africa ) , and received a refund within 2 minutes .
They have to stop that pinata nonsense.

Zoidberg: They have to stop that pinata nonsense.
Why? A lot of people quite like it and those that don't are welcome to not buy any piñatas.
Thank you gog. Great sale :D
got 45 games all in all. no duplicates in the end (since they all got refunded and I never had any more after the fix)
And I'm very happy with what I got at a very good price :D

Please do pinatas more often. If it works like this did (after fixing) I'm all for it :)
