TentacleMayor: I know it as a game with very strange rules and a lack of ingame documentation, the type of game you need a complete strategy guide just to know what it is you're doing with your character advancement. Even stranger, the PC version is different from the console versions, gameplay-wise. Plus it has some of the best combat themes ever.
paladin181: Really? I found the combat confusing and nonsensical. Really hard to get into a game that has a confusing combat system with seemingly arbitrary boosts. I certainly wish they'd have explained it better because I've never gotten past the first tutorial battle that doesn't explain squat before getting bored with the thing and turning it off.
iirc I found the combat itself intuitive enough, but when it came to character development I was completely lost without a guide. E.g. there's a slew of classes but you don't choose them - they get chosen for each character based on some requirements, and the game itself never explains it. Gotta look it up on the internet. Then there's the weird gift system and the way you get skills seemingly at random. For a game this complex with such arcane rules, it really needs better ingame documentation.
