doubt anyone here cares except me as a fan of the SaGa series, well other than a generalized preservationalist reaction.

So much for getting TLR here on gog.

Doesn't bode well for the game ever showing up here. Probably best to pick it up on Steam while you can if you want a PC copy. I assume since this announcement mentions PC specifically that the 360 version isn't going anywhere?

Edit: Maybe it's already gone from the Xbox store. A quick search there is only showing DLC and no option to buy the base game.

Stop supporting it because of technical issues because the game is almost 10 years old? (I don't know if this is the reason but it seems a possibility) Too bad there isn't a company that has experience making old games compatible with new machines. Square Enix would rather remove old games than work again with GOG and have to sell more games DRM-free. :P
I own it but haven't played it - was looking forward to it and installed, but it seems fairly unplayable without a controller.
This is a weird case

The game is made using Unreal Engine 3. Making it works on new pc should be easy. And since it's done in house by square there shouldn't be any licensing issues.

I got it from giveaway back then in this forum, given by a passionate fans he even write the wiki to the game. I love it. This game feels unique and interesting. Combat is innovative. But due to its weird balancing and poor decisions on my side I got stuck in unbeatable fight twice and have to restart the game for 3rd time.

@bler the game is actually perfectly playable using mouse keyboard. I have no issue at all with it.

I guess that'll be the last remnant of the game on Steam.
I'm fairly sure I have it (thanks to a giveaway here ages ago) but haven't got around to playing it yet.

As long as they don't remove it from my account...

mrcrispy83: doubt anyone here cares except me as a fan of the SaGa series,
Is this game somehow related to SaGa series?
And of course GOG doesn't exist to Square Enix. Why are Japanese developers these extremely boneheaded?
I don't care about games being removed from Steam. I hope all games are removed from Steam and every other DRM client. If that happens, then future games will stop being infested with DRM. I know that's not realistic and probably won't really happen, but every journey starts with a single step.

There's a demo put there for it for it but I don't know if it's DRM. If I can find one I'll put it in the demo thread.
The question I tend to ask myself in these situations is: should they be rewarded for pulling the game with a lot of last moment sales? I fear that such a spike in sales, compared to the estimated alternative cost of having to update a game to make it run on newer machines or dealing with customer service, would encourage companies to drop old games that no longer sells well.
