Not in, congrats for soon having a new member of the family!

I'd say the first 2 Thief games are great to play if you want see what is in my opinion the pinnacle of level and sound design in games, as well as in the stealth genre. It also gets points for being one of the classic 90s games.

Although I haven't played it myself, any history of gaming speech probably won't be complete without the world's first 3D RTS, which is Homeworld. It has a great story as well from what I've seen.

And I'd say Rome Total War 1 with any of the excellent mods is a must have as well. The level of greatness of music and mechanical depth a game can have is exhibited greatly in that game. Its also a good introduction to more open / create your own stories games.

Finally, Mount and Blade! By the time the baby is playing, Bannerlord should be out and it will be an awesome moddable game with a level of freedom unmatched by any other rpg in gaming.

Good luck!
Congratulations

My wife actually wanted to start our child on Mario, Kirby and the Tales games. I mean, I love the Tales series, but they're pretty heavy-duty in terms of world building.
SO TRUE !!!!
enjoy those moment :)

fortune_p_dawg: Big congratulation! It's utterly exhausting, but there's nothing else like it! :-)

Not in by the way.
Hi, Congrats!

Not in but thanks for giveaway. :)
My son got interested in computer games a few years ago (he's now almost 9) by watching me play them. However, he's not interested in any of my old favourites after he got started! Instead he's found his own games which he plays, especially all the Plants vs Zombies games (PvZ, PvZ2, PvZ Garden Warfare, PvZGW2, PvZ Heroes). I'm fine with that, although unfortunately I don't enjoy those games myself but luckily my wife likes them so she plays/discusses those games with him a lot.

NOT IN and Congrats :)!

Congratulations! May the child be born healthy!

I'm not in.
Not in but congrats and my best wishes!

Oh, and don't let your kids play videogames too much; instead, give them physical toys (dolls/cars etc.), balls, musical instruments and most importantly, other kids to play together. Videogames corrupt their imagination and their social abilities. :P

Joking aside, although I'm not sure if any of the above is true, I think that classic arcade games like Pac-Man or Asteroids are the best for little kids and I guess they'll help them develop good hand-eye coordination among other skills. Plus, there is a shipload of non-violent games to choose from.

Depending on the Mario, that isn't a bad choice. The Kirby games are pretty awesome, so another good choice. I haven't played any of the Tales games, so no opinion there.

This is going to be an experience for you. So many good moments, mixed with quite a bit of frustration, with a dose of heartache when the young one is unwell. Let me know what you think of the infant gumless look (assuming (s)he isn't born with teeth); I always found it adorable.

Thanks, I've been bullied and abused but I won't let it affect me.

Not in, but +1.

BTW, you should call you child Kleetus.
Congratulations and try out your kid when its old enough with Settlers 2. Why? Its a non violent, settlement building game with a bit of military taste added at the end.

Though its going to be hard to get a kid to play old games we played since they all see the shiny new graphics in new games on TV.
Congratulations! Not in.

As for maximum trolling, start your kid off on Desert Bus.
"Holy crap congratulations!"
Congratulations! Not in, because I already have it :)

Get ready for the years to feel like hours, and the minutes to feel like years.
