New job is coming along nicely. I'm tired but happy.

Yeah I worked an 8 hour shift today which is physically painful for me (fell off a roof about 14 years ago) but I managed, and I'm quite pleased, both with the work I'm doing and the ability to push through the pain.

I'm still in retail, but not the same type as I was at previous job. Plus the new job has 21st century terminals for the cashiers! (This may sound unceremonious, but the last job was using pc's from the late 90's, or my name's not Leucius)

The New Year is better so far. We are finally getting past that bug, though we still need to take it easy.

We met with the twins and the relatives of the twins yesterday and she (of the couple) was quite the pill bug but the uncomfortable conversation remained civil. She has accepted we are starting to bow out (with ill grace,) but she did agree that they will pick up responsibility for the remaining things they had us handling over the next month. . The overall plan to replace us sounds harebrained, but hey, its up to them. Once we are no longer on the line, any visits with the twins will be from sheer good will. That's definitely a huge improvement!

Next stop will be to say hello to the relatives we weren't well enough to visit with at Christmas & New Year's. Here's hoping that is a happy enough visit.

we have an old depression era or 1950s era recipe (thanks grandma!) that is the grossest combination of ingredients. My dad requests this every holiday :(

Jello Salad (from hell):
Lemon-lime jello (good start, yum!)
Pineapple (I love pineapple!)
Cottage Cheese (wait, what?)
Horseradish (stop)
Condensed sweet milk (I said stop)
Miracle Whip (I SAID STOP)

It looks like green chunky vomit and tastes about the same.
