Speaking of games, is Bastion worth getting? It's on sale on Steam for $2.24

If you enjoy the genre it's well worth it.
That said if it's going to sit in your backlog instead of played right away you might delay and hope for it's addition in another bundle in the future.
Does anyone else get Japanese language version of Steam when they enter the site any other way but going to it directly?
1 turn, 1 turn away from science victory in Civ V...
I almost love loosing by an hair as much as winning. I built my 4th city too late that's all it is. The lesson: Next time don't wait to discover the perfect spot.

Do you prefer Civ IV or Civ V? just curious
p.s. I have never gotten a science victory before. How do you accomplish it?

For me - IV by a long way - and for many reasons (though in fairness I have to admit I have civ 4 complete and have not gone beyond the base game of V).

The additions to Civ V make it a lot better, I still prefer IV myself too though :)

I'm in the minority I think as I prefer V. As for how to accomplish a science victory: always goes for pop growth and science building first and don't loose precious resources to waging war. Me it's all the other type of victories I find hard to get.
I don't know if you should take my advice, I play on Prince and I get my but kicked regularly.

By the way I have both "Gods & Kings" and "Brave New World" DLCs.

I've gotten to the point where I prefer V. The social policies are really interesting choices... interesting enough that I played several games just to try out new paths through the policies.

I also have enjoyed finding out just how different the different countries/rulers play out. Venice was so beguiling I played out the first 500 years like six times just to get the hang of it.

And this from a guy who put in over 500 hours on Civ IV.

I thought that after the used underwear vending machines, nothing coming from Japan would surprise me. Alas, I was wrong.

I have a great existential doubt. What should I focus on right now: should I plan where I'll be sleeping tomorrow, where I'll be staying in two weeks, or do some work?
