The whole Brexit thing blows on both sides in my humble opinion. I mean, I am in favor of UK leaving the European Union since they went downright insane lately. But I don't know why people can stay level headed on it. I mean, most of my friends are from my country of residence. Well, they are panicking over Brexit when we have more concerning shit, our currency is losing value at a historical rate, the government organized a massacre against teachers protesting against the government, the UN (Which I consider stupid most of the time but a broken watch can give the right hour sometimes) is asking our president to resign and go fuck himself, but everyone is panicking over Brexit and it's "Impending doom".

Now only if you stay in your own country.

This is something I find disheartening as well. I hadn't heard about the issues between the government and teachers, although I was able to find a few articles to catch up on it. You mentioning that though reminds me of Venezuela. Things are downright awful there, but I hardly see anything on the news about it aside from a few small blips. I personally learned about it from reading a thread on NeoGAF posted by someone who lives there and was having an incredibly hard time.

The media is definitely screwy and they really seem to be going off the rails lately. Even the reporting on American politics and issues is getting downright nuts, especially as news sources enjoy crafting clickbait headlines and continually leave out key facts just to fan the flames of a particular argument further.

Just to knock things back towards gaming, I don't believe I saw this mentioned yet although I apologize if it was and I missed it. A girl was forced to cover up while cosplaying Cammy at a recent convention. It doesn't say who complained, so I am not going to jump on the "damn those sjw" bandwagon just yet, but it is still frightening how companies rush to appease a single person and shame another. The outfit is no worse than a full bathing suit.

Just matter of perspective. LeonardoCornejo and you are more concerned about troubles in Mexico, because it's "in the house" and "just across the fence" for you. Europeans are more concerned about Brexit and Syrian war refugees for exactly the same reason.

Rather not jumping this bandwagon at all, because nothing in the article states it was "SJW" and not "bible-thumping redneck" or another cozy stereotype who complaint. I am not even mad on the hotel management unless the con was the only tenant at the time. Possible fallout from the "Public Decency" campaign against them would harm them more than this (tiny) outrage among gamers and either way, they wouldn't control the spin of the tale.
