"And I think Gamasutra is a fine publication that has done enormously valuable work for game developers and game writers and by extension gamers themselves. They’re one of the best places to learn more about the video game industry, and one of the smartest game publications out there."

Yeah, talking about the voice of Karl Reegar sucking a goat's dick is really smart. At least somebody knew that the Forbes people come from another planet.

That's it! I'm going to bed...

I don't actually know anything about Gamasutra, but it does seem wrong for everyone affiliated with the site to suffer because of the actions of one idiot.

catpower1980: Since the other thread is more for ongoing-debates, I'll post this new stuff about ZQ here:
http://puu.sh/bYCnO/0c9f170919.png

TLDR: this is the (bad) work experience the female erotic photographer had with ZQ back in the days. Seems like ZQ should be crowned as the queen of drama queens.

Source and FB of the photographer:

I dunno, I'll keep a healthy dose of skepticism on this one.

I don't think the loss of an ad partner diminishes the site's financial obligation to its writers, though. Besides, that one idiot is an employee (the editor-at-large, as memory serves), and consumers don't exactly have a wealth of options to make our displeasure known. It's a bit heavy-handed, admittedly, but I definitely prefer this outcome to things remaining the same and no one being held responsible.

Oh no, it doesn't. That guy works for Gamasutra, if he does something wrong within his job Gamasutra will be the one held responsible. If Gamasutra disagreed with him, they should have fired the guy and taken down the article.

I think he's desperately trying to be neutral in a situation where he can't just let his personal views stay. Sometimes it bleeds out, I bet he probably has a friend or two that ended up working for Gamasutra and part of him is concerned about those friends, but his article itself is fairly objective. It doesn't bash us needlessly, but I think the writing is on the wall for a lot of people in the long run.

How Public Relations does business is, if someone says something in even a semi-official position, then the company they work for/published it is to a degree responsible for that person's words. Gamasutra not saying or doing anything sends the message that they agree with what Leigh Alexander has said in her articles.

It's how we view it too. That's why people get fired for saying stupid shit and getting caught, because they make other people by association look terrible. It's also how advertisers do business as well, it's why some people will tow the line even though they know that it's wrong, because they will be fired to keep people from having the wrong view of a company or site.

And Leigh Alexander wasn't just a columnist, she is the "Editor At-Large" and the former News Director of the site. You can't claim it as one rogue columnist.

That's exactly why Microsoft fired both Adam Orth and Mattrick. They said some pretty stupid things that angered many fans and were fired to show that Microsoft didn't agree with that shit.

According to Tech Raptor. GG supporter and game developer Daniel Vavra has been giving almost no coverage from the mainstream gaming press regarding his upcoming game: "Kingdom Come: Deliverance".

Being blacklistet was kinda expected after Daniel has been very vocal on Twitter against the SJW gaming press. So please return the favor and use word-of-mouth to promote this sweet looking game. And here is hoping that maybe GOG could help sell it on their DRM free platform.

Wow, now that would be a huge blow to the SJW. I really hope it turns out to be true. I will definitely send an email to nvidia.

Github deleted the gamergate page but apparently it's back up after a load of people complained.

After Intel ceased advertising people are now complaining to Nvidia.

Is it just one idiot? I remember a lot of bad articles from there and the one half sensible article on got their expert status temporarily downgraded.

Oh good lord.

Also, TB has officially supported Gamergate: https://twitter.com/Totalbiscuit/status/519177354753880065

I was just about to post about this. Now George Reese, Executive Director, Cloud Management at Dell are comparing gamers to ISIS... Fuck Dell! I customize my own rig anyways...

And now Dell's support/contact page is down.

Hmmm, I wonder why...
