High reputation, yes, but not high "rep". The points below our avatars don't mean shit. Have a look at your special friend, tinyE. He started out with a negative rep, but lots of people liked him anyway. Then he went all his way up far beyond 1000 rep. Did people suddenly like him more? No. Soon he'll be in the negatives again. Do you think people will like him less then? Why should they?

People have their reputation here, irrespective of their rep number. And some people (not tinyE) foster their reputation for giveaways. Not a secret.

That's such a solid point (no pun intended). We get no special rewards/punishments from GOG for our Rep scores, so why do some users still put up a fuss about them? Initially, it was a system to show who was helpful and active and who was active but a pain in the ass. Now? It's like age....just a number.

[EDIT] I forgot to make my originally intended quip! I wonder if there's a magic number that would actually warrant an automated warning or something from GOG...like if Tauto made it all the way to -1000.
