Because giving away games would ultimately lead to positive rep points, and this is the opposite of Tauto is trying to do. Like they say, 'if you're going to be bad, make sure you're THE WORST.'

And yet after 4 years of smart ass remarks and constantly making stupid jokes, somehow I'm at +600. I can't make heads or tails of this place sometimes.

20 years ago I think I could have pulled off a hot chick... or at least a scrappy punk rock version of one. Now... with my beer belly and ear hair... I'd have to try and pass as a goblin or maybe a stunted orc. At best a Hobbit.

Well... I don't want to go to deep into this, but... I think Tauto isn't THAT bad. He's an asshole and he's not afraid of telling people to GTFO. But he does have a point when it comes to giveaways O.O Some users try to "scam" with multiple accounts, some users try to do it with a positive image (I'm avoiding the word "reputation" here).

When I still did giveaways, I got lots of "High rep user xyz is just here for free games"-PMs... The fun part? I got these messages from both, users who take part in giveaways themselves AND alt-accounts who pretended to fight for a better community -.-

Not "high rep" "scammers", but users who "cultivate" a good reputation (the actual thing, not the number) to have better chances in giveaways. I think that's not too big of a secret.

And high reputation isn't used to grab a game? Oh,I think it is.

That, good sir, is the backbone of this community, and I refuse to believe otherwise.
