Xaxius: as I understand it the free game rule is that you cannot take a game and leave one that was ever at any point free in return.

however I see nothing wrong with having a game that was free and just leaving it as you are giving it for free still if someone wants it enough they can take it and leave a game.

I also feel that leaving a game now should not entitle you to a game at a later point especially since one can cancel their offer of no one asks for it within 5 days.

so basically to receive a game you must leave a game, that was at no point in time given for free, at the time you receive one. but you may leave a free game and receive nothing in return if you wish.
er no, that's not the good topic for leaving freebies.

what i mentionned is a game whch once was free , but i got the same game in a bundle (so i paid for getting it , because it was included in a bundle) .That's a grey area, some argue it's not a valid offer.

a better example would be a game offered as freebie once by GOG, but the opporunity ran out ; such as Magrunner Dark Pulse.

im sorry I don't understand your post. my post wasn't in response to what you had said which is why I didn't quote you my post as about how free games should be handled in this thread.
I was simply saying that you cant take a game and leave a free one but if you just want to leave a free game and someone else wants to take it and leave a game that should be ok.

and how will this work? You have to enter a game and wait for someone who wants it? But the thing is you take a game that you WANT and leave a game that you dont want or already got.. thats the idea behind it.

i answered already ;

no free games are allowed there ; past or present. (i didn't make the rules) ; rule number 2

if you have freebies to offer i think there are enough topics for this , better create a giveaway :)

What? you don't have to take a game to leave one. you do have to leave one to take one though, im saying if I wanted to leave something like mount and blade which had been free recently and take nothing at all I should be able to.

the whole point of the no free game rule IN THIS THREAD was to prevent people from taking a game that cost someone money and leaving a game that cost nothing and therefore had little or no value.

my point is that some people might want those games that had once been free and if someone would offer then and take nothing in return that should be acceptable.

THIS IS NOT MEANING HAVE A GIVAWAY. I mean if I offered Mount and blade and took nothing. someone if they wanted could take mount and blade and leave ANYTHING in return. this would mean I wouldn't receive anything for the free game, which was the intent of the no free games rule, and there would be another game on the thread to perpetuate this awesome TOGO idea.

Explain me how this isn't a giveaway so ?

You leave a game (free or not , that's not the problem) and don't want anything,; this is a giveaway for me, unless i don't understand what you try to explain.

Follow the rules, i think i have explained myseff enough.

I'm starting to be fed up with people trying to change the rules , if that continue , i stop particping to this topic.

I have nothing against offereing games, but there are others places for this.

...is there some sort of language barrier here... its not a giveaway because, while it is true I would get nothing, the person taking the game would have to leave something. there is nothing against just leaving games for others to take if the OP hadn't left a few games when he started this thread NOONE would be here.

the whole point of leaving something and taking nothing is to increase the options for people and draw more people into the thread. a perfect example besides the OP is that I took a game and left 2 why did I leave 2 because that means that 2 people can take those games and leave games of their own thus increasing the total number of games available It doesn't do anything but help the thread grow.

I think what Xaxius is saying, is that this is basically a TRADING thread... you TRADE one game for another one of similar value.
I assume that the purpose of the current rules is, to make it clear that it's not the intention to trade in one of the games on the list, for a game that was at any stage free (which could quickly decrease the total value of the games on offer here). And that's a great rule.

But it might be a good idea if you were allowed to GIFT a free game (without taking anything back for it). The next person trading, would then have a larger choice of games to pick from (some people may still want games that were at some stage free, but no longer are)... and as he would still not be allowed to trade the game for another free game, he would have to trade it for a game with a higher value.
Personally, I see only advantages in allowing this. I'd be curious for the OP's opinion, though.

Will pm the code.
Since people are having trouble giving insurgncy away, what are you planning on leaving instead if theres no interest in it?

I removed it from the list when I received confirmation that Magoxx had claimed it. Don't know who added it again...
Removed it again.

thanks got it
i have some not used bundle links but better i keep names secret for now,Insurgency up for grab until monday then i change it if no one want
list updated
Ok, this looks very interesting and I'd like to participate. Just so I don't make a mistake: I choose a game from the list and make an official comment/post here, saying "I want/take <...> and leave <game of my choice>", yes? In the meantime, while I am waiting to receive a game, I update a list with the one I give. Do I understand it right? And last thing: once I update the list, I just hit "Share" and it's done?
