So it looks like they got their response. https://www.gog.com/game/subverse

At this point, it looks like GOG's curation is a popularity contest. Many games have been rejected, that very rejection created outrage and thus publicity, then suddenly those rejected games got approved.

Now I wonder if we'll get Hatred.

It seems odd to me to accept Postal, but not Hatred. They're basically the same game, just with fancier graphics, no?

more like it is political
one type of agenda is accepted, opposite agenda is not accepted

I'd say the key difference is that you technically don't have to kill people in Postal. Not that anyone, other than achievement hunters, will do that. That's probably RWS's main excuse.

Uhh, that may be the case for P2, but certainly not for the first one (which is the game Hatred takes inspiration from). IIRC there is a set percentage of enemies you have to kill in order to proceed to the next level.

Honestly did not expect this to happen. But glad to see I was wrong. However, I think the main reason is the recently implemented age check, which seems to be doing wonders for GOG accepting 18+ and AO games.

Well yes, since the "age confirmation" was the only rason why adult games like
subverse were "locked" in germany. Which is (as far as i know) one of the biggest
markets in the EU

Well here we are, subverse made it to GoG, more games are always a good thing
to have.

Or maybe it's a bad game? Max value is 40% with only 4% of critics recommending it.

Anyway, glad to see Subverse on here. More adult games are greatly appreciated.

Hmm, isn't open critic sums up the self-proclaimed critics from game sites?
The ones who are clearly biased and have political agendas, just like rotten tomato critics?
Yep it is.
On steam, Hatred is very positive with 80% liked, so your fake rating is a lie.

Btw aren't you the one of those who argued quality doesn't matter and just let gog be flooded with whatever crap people make? Like bad visual novels and crappy dating sims?

So why don't you become one and have your voice added to the score?

I've never said this. You're more than welcome to go back and quote me.

one of what? a writer to a shill game review site? then can i be counted as a critic?
sadly my english is not as good ,but maybe thats not a problem at all

from my experience there are plenty of normal players who give better info and opinion on steam reviews than these paid critics

so you are not, that's fine , i didnt say you are , that's why i asked

A bit unexpected, but if GoG will carry adult games i have a bit more respect...

although not enough to stop my current boycott...
The devs posted this on Twitter on August 20:
A great moment for perverts around the globe! Very excited to be part of @GOGcom
[praying emoji]and their new 18+ section! You can buy Subverse on GOG when the Ela update launches in October!
Now, 18+ section? As in GOG having an actual 18+ section like some sites like MangaGamer do? That's actually surprising.

Well, they totally got this completely child-proof, age-screening warning now. ;) They seem to have implemented this minimal system just before they announced that Succubus was coming here.

Under 18's can't click the button. It's there for a reason.
