Howdy, folks! As many of you are aware, I'm one of the youngest people on this forum. Well, in just a few days, I'll be legally joining the ranks of you cranky old adults. On January 29th, I will be turning 18! What joy. What fun. What excitement.
...actually, screw it, I'll probably be just as lazy and snarky as I am already.
Regardless, since I'm fairly infamous so far for delivering puzzles, I'd like to do something different and have you guys offer ME puzzles! Here's your chance to finally deflate my ever-expanding ego!
Or, if you're more the kind of person who just needs a prize of some sort in order to join something, here's a little additional incentive:

- the first tier of the current Humble Bundle, donated by snowkatt
- Melter Man and Space Thinger ,donated by cecil
(note: all games are Steam keys)

Rules are as follows:
1. Post a puzzle or riddle of some sort. It can be anything. Logical, mathematical, lateral, whatever. Lateral puzzles are my personal favorite, but that's just me. Also say which game or collection you're in for.
2. I am allowed to ask any questions I please, and you must answer them unless it will give away some vital aspect of the puzzle. I am also allowed 3 hints. As far as what these hints consist of, I'll leave that to you to decide. The point is to have fun!
3. You may present multiple riddles and puzzles, but please only give another one after I solve or give up on your first one.
4. If your puzzle/riddle is deemed by me to involve some sort of ridiculous logic, was something I wouldn't have gotten anyways thanks to lack of historical/cultural/mathematical knowledge, or is just simply too much of a stretch ("The answer is fish, because the first letter of each sentence spells 'HOLY', which you use to figure out the phrase 'holy mackerel', and mackerel is a fish!"), then I'm not counting it.
5. I'll give out the prizes based upon my 3 top favorite entries. I also have a secret bonus list of games to be offered to people who successfully stump me. Note that I'm not stumped until I say I'm giving up. Until then, just assume I'm still in the process of working on it.
6. Feel free to try to solve somebody else's puzzle. Again, the whole idea is to have fun!

Puzzles I'm in progress of solving:
_Slaugh_'s pattern puzzle
_Slaugh_'s second pattern puzzle
Lifthrasil's number puzzle

Puzzles I've solved:
Tannath's car puzzle
misteryo's rope puzzle
toxicTom's puzzle story
Djaron's mystery
Gnostic's logic puzzle
Dessimu's cryptogram puzzle
Puzzles I've successfully been stumped on:

Edit: I just got a whole boatload of games for the giveaway, courtesy of Gnostic! I'll obviously have to rearrange the prize-giving rules a bit. I'll change it up depending on how much activity this thread gets. Just know that you should not say that you're "not in" just because the prizes don't interest you. There ARE MORE PRIZES. I just don't know how to distribute 'em yet.

Reserving this post just because. Never know when I might need it.
How much wood would a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

Well, seeing as the typical woodchuck burrow is around 25 or 30 feet long, one has to take into account the size, strength, and stamina of the woodchuck. Were this woodchuck to move an amount of wood equal to the dirt, it would be around 700 pounds. Of course, we're assuming the wood isn't substantially heavier than the woodchuck and can, in fact, be chucked.
Or, in short:
A woodchuck would chuck no amount of wood since a woodchuck can't chuck wood.

STUMPED!

STUMPED!
...gee, and I LIKED that coffee table, too.
Happy Birthday for the 29th zeogold (lest I should forget) and enjoy the day!

You're still little, am curious as to what you want to be when you are big?:)
What exactly do you do when your stumped? Because I'm totally confounded on Catherine: Rapunzel level 55 or something. Obviously I'd have to show you the puzzle but, it's like one vertical pillar with destructible blocks undernieth, it seems impossible. Anyway, brings me back to my original question of what to do when your stumped. Have you been stumped before? What did you do then to get unstumped?
Ooh, I have a little maths puzzle: Does P=NP?

Clearly not an actual entry :P Happy birthday anyway...I just assumed you were 40 or something. I guess I assume everyone here is an old fart :o
I would have taken you somewhere between 31-65 years old O_P Or 131-165. I think it is the hat. Makes you look older.

Anyway, Happy Birthday, mate!
Here's another one that isn't an actual entry.

Start with an integer, which will be the start of the sequence. At each step, the next number is as follows:
If the number is odd, 3n + 1
If the number is even, n / 2

For example, if you start with 3, the sequence is as follows:
3, 10, 5, 16, 8, 4, 2, 1, 4, 2, 1, ...

Here's the question:
Is there a positive integer whose sequence does not eventually reach 1? If so, what is the smallest one? (There has to be a smallest one if there is one.)

Note that this is an unsolved problem.

Now, if you want something that is actually solvable, here is a good one:

Take a look at this Wikipedia article first, which defines something called Moser's number.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steinhaus%E2%80%93Moser_notation

What is the least significant digit, that is, the one in the ones place? (For example, if the number were 32,453, that digit would be 3.) Make sure to show your work (or, alternatively, post a proof that your answer is correct).

Again, not actually in for a prize.
