I understand Baldur's Gate, Beyond Good & Evil, Psychonauts, Gothic 2, but why am I being recommended Freespace 2 ? There is not a single game in my library that is similar to that, maybe except the release year.

I guess there is no way to manually remove certain recommendations so the recommendation algorithem would learn better (like youtube has for videos)? I don't want to rate 1 star a game I don't know if thats the only option either haha
Ok, but have you tried Freespace 2? I can't recommend it highly enough.
* laughs*
It's a really good game, you need to play it!

Shut up and buy Freespace 2 :)
But I don't like the genre! no thanks!
Paladin wins the thread. I also have an aversion to almost any space game, not sure why, but I can relate. I just tune them out

I think the related feature that bothers me most is on Steam where it gives you the option to say you are/aren't interested in a game, but neglects to have any feature for "I own this game on a different platform."

Aside from being mildly annoyed that it makes them seem a bit arrogant, moreover it just seems dumb business practice. Their algorithms would likely be better (as would their data) if they knew the difference between 'not interested in buying Freespace 2 because I don't care for it' and not interested in buying it b/c I already have it.

But then he'll have even more space game recommendations...

Specom98: But it's the best Volition game...

Plokite_Wolf: That's not how you spell Saints Row 2.
The game is great, but it has the worst PC port I have ever played. Not the best Volition has to offer.
