Not super exited but this project looks interesting.

The only thing I know about Visions is Lop, who has been the most useful contribution to the canon since the horse rebel pilot.

Waiittt, is this like an official starwars anime? I think how good it will be depends on how much it is geared towards young children, if it is semi muture and doesn't have dumb jokes it probably could be quite good!

Hmmm... I see Disney has started the great milking. Don't get me wrong, I am both a fan of the Star Wars universe and a fan of Japanese animation in general, but I'm not sure if the combination is warranted. The high-action packed content of the trailer and known exaggerations not uncommon in "anime duels" do not make a great fit with the Star Wars universe imho. The undertone is supposed to be dark, yet hopeful. Story and atmosphere wise I believe this will do its own thing. That being said I'm probably going to watch it... I'm just hoping I won't have to say "look how they massacred my boy" :P. If you're hoping for "Beyond the Aquila Rift" or "Snow in the Desert" level of content, I think you're going to be disappointed. It may be half-decent at best, but it will be Start Wars themed anime, not anime themed Star Wars, if you know what I mean.

Their treatment of the lightsaber blade as being solid bothers me.

Nothing against anime at all, as I have a couple of favorite anime series myself, but this anime star wars mix doesn't work for me.

Everyone knows how to stop blaster shots in mid air these days ... what's the point of carrying a light saber?

Why the mix of styles tho.. some childish, some realistic, other rough 3d.. and I see Trigger is going overboard as usual.
I would have probably preferred all animated like at 0:06, 0:39 (which studio is that?).
Also, I don't dare imagine the story..

I never liked anime growing up but now, in my mid 20s, I'm starting to open up to it more... that said, I do have pretty strict lines that I stay within. I'm hoping it'll be good, being a megafan of Star Wars (both Legends and canon) and I think it will be, I'd say I'm cautiously optimistic.

Why, yes... that is the very purpose of the great milking. We all thought the cow was going to dry up, but the great milking will prove us wrong, extracting all it can from the most unexpected of places. A light saber? My young padawan, if I know my anime well, we'll get to see anything and everything, from light nunchucks, light whips and light toothpicks used as weapons.

I wonder how it looks if someone hits himself on the head with a light nunchuk.
