May the 4th come to GOG.com!

Star Wars Day™ is near, a time when the world comes together to celebrate the long, long history of a galaxy far, far away. And so it is, once again we combine forces with Lucasfilm and Disney to join in on upcoming May the 4th celebrations the way we know best: with new releases, a classic Digital Premiere, and peecha chakka no wookie boonowa tweepi Saleo. Ho, ho, ho, hooo.

What do we have in store this week?

-- Star Wars: Rebel Assault I & II - a new digital premiere. The famous live-action, FMV rail shooter returns - blast through the ranks of the Galactic Empire, revisit familiar movie locations, and experience the rebel assault. Both of the classic titles come in one DRM-free package for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux!

-- Collector's CD-ROM editions of: Star Wars™ X-Wing and Star Wars™ TIE-Fighter. The space-flight simulators finally become complete exclusively on GOG.com. The Collectors Edition, often considered the absolute re-release, combines upgraded graphics with the classic MUSE sound system, and a refined flight engine. It's a free upgrade to all of you that own it, and comes with every new purchase as well.

-- Star Wars: Jedi Knight II - Jedi Outcast and Star Wars: Jedi Knight - Jedi Academy now on GOG.com. Are these the best lightsaber swingin', force-pushin' simulators ever made? Search your feelings, you know it to be true.

-- Two big bundles, with every remaining Star Wars™ game on GOG.com:
Blaster Bundle - with 7 titles including the upgraded Star Wars X-Wing & TIE-Fighter series, and more Lucasfilm games brought back into the digital world from old CDs and dusty floppy disks.
Saber Bundle - with 10 games at a flat 77% off, including Star Wars Battlefront II, Knights of the Old Republic I & II, the two Dark Forces games, and our two new completely new releases: Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast & Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy.

Grab your blaster, wield your saber, and celebrate the days counting down to May the 4th with us! The entire shebang will last until Thursday, May 7, 6:59 AM GMT.

It worries me that on a day like today with only some new Star Wars game updates that GOG can be brought down and it made me think what is going to happen when Witcher 3 launches? Have GOG announced any kind of pre-load as I see a huge issue ahead already.
But I already got all the Star Wars games from The Star Wars Humble Bundle, although I haven't tried any of them yet. So you see, your little sale is no match for the power of the Backlog!

Still, it has plenty of nice deals for other people.

Darth Vader: If you only knew the power of the GoG sale.
The Emperor: And now, young Skywallet, you will die!

You don't have the Collector's Editions CD-ROMs for X-Wing and TIE Fighter in the Humble versions though :P

Can I Force Choke him for that? PLEASE! :P
Fan-freak'n-tastic! Nice work, GoG. :D

Here's hoping we'll see Shadows of the Empire, Battle for Naboo, Episode I: Racer and Battlefront released in the near future.

Yes, there will be a pre-load, but no official date as of yet.

The Star Wars Humble Bundle didn't include *any* versions of the X-Wing series. :)

Licurg: Summer, spring, same thing.

PaterAlf: In my imagination you just became one of these gamers, who sits in their room all day long with all shutters down and who never goes outside or sees the light of day. :P
Where I live it's more like summer, spring, fall, winter, same thing. It's more like sunny season and rainy season.

On the other hand, I also keep my curtains closed day and night.
A new wave! Color me surprised, for I thought we were done with the previous lengthy roll-out of Star Wars gifts. And I spotted a sale amidst the furor. I've been asking myself if I should purchase KOTOR 2? I liked the first, which was done by Bioware, but the 2nd is rather on a different kind of level.
