Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

JoseWisemang: More love, less Keane!

Command and Conquer Red Alert Uprising
OriginKey:

FC88-U6AP-CWPP-YL68-KHG?

Megaman ?ero is much cooler than Bass... chump.
Zero?

Coelocanth: Honestly, even though it's slow, I think it's selling fairly well all things considered.

zlep: I've been rather impressed by its sales speed. I expected Sword of the Stars: The Pit to sell a good bit faster than Expeditions: Conquistador, but it's been very much the opposite. Clearly I've underestimated the lure of turn-based strategy. ^_^
Name another game, that plays like Fallout 1 or 2. Yes, there is a demand for these games.

Yes.
I figured just "?ero is cooler than Bass" would have been too vague.

Thanks! :)
Has anyone else managed to activate the same product twice on Origin?

Knofbath: The classic controller was just supposed to use the Wiimote as a wireless adapter I thought.
avatar
zlep: It does, but it has to be plugged into the wiimote to do that, just like the standard (non wireless) nunchuk. So your controller kind of has a heavy tail attached.
None of the games that use the Classic controller need the motion sensor, so you shouldn't be jumping around like that anyway.

I had to PM? Oh well :) Thanks for the opportunity.

AndyDivine79: My roommate and I hung a sheet from the ceiling splitting the screen. Of course you had to play 3 player and face the third facing the wall. My favorite was pistols in the basement. 4 players with proximity mines was chaos.

iLiVeInAbOx: Lets see if I can remember my favorites..

Power weapons in the temple.
Proxy mines in the control center (or is that the basement?)
Rockets in the complex - This one was probably my favorite since we played license to kill. Shoot a rocket at the wall and bam on the other side:)!
I remember being super hyped for Perfect Dark. For whatever reason it did not have the same kind of magic of Bond. We still played the hell out of it, but Bond was the go to game of choice for several years when the parties would wind down.
Ah, if only Stonekeep or Guilty Gear X2 Reload were on this sale. I would have been happy. But alas they didn't choose those games. Maybe christmas. Maybe.....
I am *so* sick of the forum transporting me back a zillion pages (equivalent to at least half a Keane) every time I post something. I'm already running on barely any sleep; the time-lapse forum flashes just confuse me. x_x

I actually wouldn't be surprised if EA came up with that.

"Play all games in 3D now! All you have to do is buy a copy of the game for each eye!"

Yah. I ended up in the middle of the TR sale last time and was all confused.
25! Almost there!!

Bring on Thief 2. Yes, I'm begging now

no, you were supposed to replace the "?" in the code with the the "?" in the phrase.
Feel bad cause you probably would have gotten it first :(

The idea with these giveaways where they give most of the code is you fill in the missing letter(s) from the clue and then enter it at the appropriate game site (in this case Origin). First to enter it correctly will get the game, others will get an "invalid or duplicate code" message.
