About the different questions...
- 3x 4-dices and 2x 6-dices are considered as one movement, like the 1x10
- Thicker markers are the wall, there is only one path available (sorry about that, I see now the differences between walls and square lines are hardly noticeable).
- The alien guardian will follow the group after some undefined number of turns. So if you're very unlucky and get only small dice numbers from my throws, you might get caught by the guardian during the game.
- If you stop at a (?) marker that is hiding a game, you will be able to choose a game from a small selection.
- If you get a game, your animal will continue his adventure and can still earn more games
- You won't lose any won game, even if you end in JAIL or get caught by the guardian
- I accept the change of dices until everybody has made a choice

2x 6-dice for me.
How long do we have to do each turn?

myconv: What do you mean the guard will follow and capture you if you are in his way(1x 8-dice)? Does that mean if any single dice rolls 8, you lose? Does every toss of 1-10 come with a 10% chance of losing? If not, I guess I'll roll a 1-10 (but I'd still like more information before I choose, this is in case you get impatient with me)

How long do we have to do each turn?

What other events can be in "?" besides games and teleport? How far does this teleport go? Does it go backwards?

--> It means he guardian will randomly move from 1 to 8 squares at a time. If the guardian gets past you on the board, you will be considered as captured.

How long do we have to do each turn?
--> once you decided your dices, I will roll them here for you (that why it should not take more than 5 min of your time). From tomorrow 16:00 EST, I will play for every animals in the game and try to regurarly post updates on the results.

What other events can be in "?" besides games and teleport? How far does this teleport go? Does it go backwards?
--> For the three questions, that's a secret for now, (?) square will be uncover when a player stop on it.

I choose 2x6 dice.
Ok I'll stick with rolling 1-10 *edit* I guess change it to 3d4.

Captured = lose the game? Do we know when the guard appears and where it is at any given turn?

Are the question marks already decided?

"From tomorrow 16:00 EST, I will play for every animals in the game and try to regularly post updates on the results."
By that, you mean roll 1-6 for everyone over and over till the end? Or is that the final time for a single turn and then time to roll for following turns?

It's going to take alot of rolls to get to the end, that means. We need everyone to choose their roll to have a turn and then choose their roll again. How long do we have to choose each roll before you roll 1-6 for us? BTW perhaps the default roll should be a bit more reasonable for people busy with the holidays. Also I take it since you will roll 1-6 for us if we don't choose in time, that we can just choose 1-6 for ourselves if we want?

The game selection with all question mark events and winning the race all the same? Is there a limited supply where each game won might reduce the selection of the next?

The pink cat chooses 2x6 dice.

Testor previously wrote:

So no, we the players don't know when it will appear. Testor presumably knows. The rolls for the guard will presumably also be posted, so after it appears, we should be able to follow along with where it is.

avatar
myconv: For that matter, what if we forget where we are on the board? Are you going to be putting up maps of everything for each turn?
Testor previously wrote:
" will launch the dices for you, here at home." and "I will share all roll dice results, try to publish each turn, or at least the final result"
After everyone has chosen which dice to use, Testor will "play" the entire game for us, posting all dice rolls here (so we can follow along). If he has the time for it, he might post a picture of the board after each "turn", so we can see the race unfolding. That's a lot of effort, though, so he might also only post the final result (who gets captured, who escapes, who wins any games).

myconv: "(?) square will be uncover when a player stop on it."
Uncovered? But aren't they replaced when someone stops on them? Are the question marks already decided?
Testor previously wrote:
"Mystery square (?) can hide many things: teleport, a game... If a game is collected, it will be replaced by another event."
So if the "?" square grants a game, then only one person can win that game, and the "?" square will turn into something else afterward. But all other things that can be hidden by a "?" square will be stable, and do the same thing for everyone who lands on them, so their currently hidden function will be "uncovered".

avatar
myconv: By that, you mean roll 1-6 for everyone over and over till the end?
Yes. Except that on each "turn", he'll roll 1-4 three times, or 1-6 two times, or 1-10 once, depending on your choice of dice.

avatar
myconv: We need everyone to choose their roll to have a turn and then choose their roll again.
No, you only choose once. After that, we can only sit back and watch the results.

myconv: What decides move order? Order of roll decision?
Testor previously wrote:
"First to finish chapter one, first to play here, and so on."
So the order in which we move depends on the order in which we contacted Testor in chapter 1.

My dice is soooo bad that I will need a few turns advantage AND the fastest choice. So my monkey goes with 3d4. And if it meets any mirrors, tell it to stop looking at its stunning beauty and go through it, it's a portal you monkey!
1d10 is much slower. Even 3d3 would have been faster.

But I accept the challenge.

You changed my question. I asked do we know when the guard appears, not when it will appear. As in when the guard is on the map, are we told? You presume we will be told of the guards position, but I don't see Testor saying that. Well your last reply rather makes this irrelevant anyway if correct.

"Mystery square (?) can hide many things: teleport, a game... If a game is collected, it will be replaced by another event."
Are the question marks already decided? If a game is replaced, by another event, can that event be another game?

I guess that fits. Testor, can you please confirm if this is correct?

If it is, I guess I'll go with 3d4

@myconv: You are asking sooo many questions for so simple game with simple rules and with only one thing to do - select a dice (or a set of them). :o
My wildcat just wants to run and escape. I'll go with 3 4-dice like most animals
