I always get great download speeds with GOG, it's always 5.9-6MB a second, which is the maximum my internet can do, it's actually Steam which occaisonally gives me weird dropoffs.
Has anyone else noticed really slow download speeds for the offline installers recently?

Yup. I've got about 50 MB/sec bandwidth, confirmed by speed tests, and am getting about 300-400Kb/sec download speed from the GOG CDN
Maybe it is a regional thing, or partly about luck.

I downloaded a couple of GOG games (offline installers) a couple of days ago with the Edge browser, and I think they came at around 200-300 Mbit/s speed, ie. quite fast.
I've noticed that the download speeds with GOG are still very slow. Is this happening to anyone else?

Yes instead of 24 mb per second i get maxium 5mb per second while i was used to 21mb per second from gog.
I took a look at some older gogrepoc logs, and the DL speed averaged 30-40 MB/s. The latest update i did in august, after the cdn problems was around 10-15MB/s. Galaxy updates are also still around those numbers, so yes on my end, speeds are not as they used to be, and on competing services i can consistently reach 60 MB/s.
Maybe gog needs more time to stabilize after the problems, but i have no idea if it should take this long.
What I feel is that the speeds are inconsistent, it flows from high speed to too slow ones, longer time slow speeds than decent ones. Not stable at all. Making the info about speed unuseful, uninformative. I am unable to really know if the file will last ten minutes or one hour.

I've noticed that the GOG download speeds are still very slow. It barely downloads at 1 MB/sec. Are the GOG devs aware of this?
I understand your concern about the inconsistent speeds. It's like riding in a taxi where the driver keeps hitting the brakes and accelerator randomly, making it difficult to predict the arrival time. In this case, the speed graph resembles a bumpy road, with abrupt changes between fast and slow sections. Unfortunately, this makes it challenging to rely on the speed data to estimate the duration of the file transfer.
Is it just me, or are the AI bots actually getting dumber and dumber? Is that even possible?
Slow here in Japan.

Speed test shows I'm getting 700Mbs, but my downloads are 400 kb/s

Does GOG know that the download speeds are still very slow? It's still downloading at barely 2 MB/sec.

May depend on where you are, respectively what your ISP provides as bandwidth.
I for one can not confirm the 2MB/s - my DL speed is much higher.

Edit: also keep in mind: it's the 15th anniversary sale ongoing right now. That may have some effect on DL speeds.
