I talked to one of XSEED's reps at E3, and he said that there were some issues with the DRM-free version of Shinovi Versus, and that it wasn't GOG's fault. I suspect it's the same situation here... though regardless, it's disappointing.

That is correct. The vita version only has online leaderboards.

Did they mention if they are still working on said "issues" ? or if we can forget any hope of having any Senran Kagura game released here.

They've been pretty consistent in saying that if they can make it happen, they want to... so... I wouldn't necessarily say they've lost interest. They're good about supporting GOG whenever they can.
