So, do you have any good suggestions for ideal parents for a 6yo?

Games can be good, i've spent days playing Terraria with the kids, or puzzle games, or lego games. They have great sense of achievement completing puzzles by themselves.

As a kids puzzle/logic game I recommend the very first "crazy machines". It has some levels made for kids and depending on what kind of 6 year old you deal with, the normal first levels might be doable, too.
It's not sold on GOG though.
Edit: Deleted the first part of my post. It might have triggered some Internet snowflakes.

I’d like to thank everyone again for their inputs! I scooped up a few titles and wishlisted a few more, awaiting a sale! To the person that said I should be parenting and not giving the child games...ok, I’ll bite!
1. Have you looked outside? The planet is under lock down, the child and his sibling are getting more time with their parents then even they are happy about.
2. In this particular case, said child and parent built the pc together for the child to use. My hope is that they use it for all sorts of applications and that it kindles an interest in all things computing. To include gaming!
3. Anything you want to talk about? I know it’s strange times, but we’re all in this together. Feel free to unload!
Cheers

You have a great list here however, I'll add one particular title: LocoRoco for the Sony PSP.
Kids love it, very easy to learn with just a couple inputs, great to learn basic physics and the music, well if you aren't singing in your head after 30min session, I'll eat my hat :D
I did setup the emulator PPSSPP with a kid a bit older than yours and we had a great time. Specially because he owns a PSP and that title, see it running on the computer left him very enthusiastic.
Have fun and stay safe.
