Very happy to have RCT3 back for people. :)
Wishlisted RCT3 for now. Great to finally have this game back here.

My sisters played the hell out of these 3 games back in the day.
Why are RCT3 reviews so negative on GOG compared to steam??

Because of "reasons", I guess...

Quickly skimmed the first 7 pages and price seems the biggest complaint.

Charming.
I already own all these.
And not a peep about OpenRCT2?
RCT3's good. I actually enjoyed it better than 1 and 2. I found it scenarios better, etc. Pools are a bit OP, but that's kind of true to life in many ways. RCT3 does suffer from "transition from 2d to 3d" and some interface issues because of that. It was generally looked at negatively on early release because of that, and people being shocked against their RCT1/2 nostalgia.
Any difference between RCT Classic and RCT 1 & 2 using OpenRTC2? I've already got 1 & 2 running on OpenRTC2, just wondering if Classic has any significant added content.
Seems like RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition completly replaced the previous RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Platinum Edition for previous owners. In this case separate editions would be prefered.
RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Platinum! (known also as the Deluxe Edition in Europe) includes the base game and both expansion packs fully patched.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition includes everything from the Platinum! edition and additionally includes support for selectable 1080p resolution, removed copyrighted branding (i.e. Hershey's and mainly Atari), red cross on first aid room is now green.

So, to be clear: are you saying that GOG removed the uncensored version from customers' libraries who bought that game years ago before it was delisted, and now GOG has replaced it with the censored version?

If that is what you are saying, then that greatly contradicts & disproves the very commonly asserted claim that once you have purchased a GOG game then it remains yours forever and is immune to being removed from your library even if delistings happen.

I don't care about the Red Cross or the brands being removed, or the fact that it's gone in the new version - I can play both without problems. It is not any censoring done since it's not forced by a government agency.

Also "once you have purchased a GOG game then it remains yours forever" has only been the case if you make offline backups of your installers, even with GOG.

To get to your point though, yes - Platinum Edition that I bought back in 2017 was replaced with the Complete Edition.

It's still censorship just the same.

Thanks for the information.

I expect many other GOG customers probably will have a problem with their uncensored old original version of RT3 having been removed from their libraries, and replaced with a newly censored version.

And this also sets a very bad precedent for the same treatment to be done to future GOG games too, if no backlash & demands of a reversal are to arise as regards to this instance of it being done.

Slight correction there, not the first time it happened! Saints Row IV: Game of the Century Edition got replaced with an inferior product, Divinity: OS 2 got a stupid launcher no one asked for...
all without the option to revert!

And i'm getting really sick of all this replacement BS GoG's been doing! If you buy version A you are expected to be able to use version A and not some broken, censored or otherwise butchered version C!

Also i find replacing something as basic as a red cross absolutely ridiculous, and yes this is censorship btw.
