Breja: Well, they comletely fucked up The Mandarin for one thing. Possibly the coolest Iron Man villain, and an opportunity for a great "magic vs. science" plot and instead they went for a weak twist and a generic Dr Insano villain. There's also Ultron, who they turned into a joke instead of a cold, sinister menace, and pretty much the entire backstory of the Vision is gone. And Thanos' new motivation and goal in Infinity War makes no goddamn sense whatsoever.
I will be honest and admit I have to rewatch Ironman 3. I was barely awake when I saw it so I'm unable to comment on their portrayal of the Mandarin. It's all a blur, might as well have been just the trailer.
I don't agree about Ultron. I thought he was a real threat and was consistent in itself. Being an AI he was logic driven to find the simplest path to reach his goal and that was killing all humans.

As for the Vision, I didn't really miss his backstory. He used to be the android Human torch? So what? It didn't matter to him or to anyone around him. It didn't shape any of his actions, his ideals or any plotline surrounding him for decades. It mattered even less to the audience. The character fell into obscurity by the 50s. I've read the comics for decades and never saw a single panel that ties him in with the original Torch. The new origin also ties the creation of Vision to Ultron's actions like the comics did.

Regarding Thanos I admit that it makes no sense, but we haven't seen much. They might surprise us with hidden depths or even some secret motivation that the character was harboring all along. Maybe. Even then, Fox's Xmen movies wouldn't pass this sort of analysis unscathed either.
Since this seems to have shifted to talking about Marvel, does anybody know why Disney has canceled every single Marvel TV series. I mean each and every one of them. At the very least, I'm pretty certain Daredevil was universally praised. It's kinda understandable for Iron Fist, but Daredevil and Punisher?

Probably because they want to start their own streaming service (with new Marvel shows, including one about Loki), so they don't want to make stuff with Netflix anymore.

It's possible the cancelled Netflix shows may return in some shape or form on that Disney service, but they can't do that sooner than in a couple of years because of legal issues.

proprietary subscription services are in, baby! everybody wants a piece of that sweet sweet pie (also intellectual property laws are a joke)

chandra: We've deleted the reviews some time ago, and are going to deal with any new ones (fingers crossed there won't be any...) as soon as possible. If you notice anything, feel free to contact me or the Support.
Just to let you know that there are several irrelevant reviews for Simon the Sorcerer: 25th Anniversary Edition. I've also sent you a message.

I agreed with this in the past but I just discovered there's something more in this matter.

Specifically this MCU short movie.

and here is its TvTropes page.

Sorry about necroing the thread but you have PMs disabled.

falloutttt: it's not just on that review of the game. its in forum as well.

GOG need to introduce the fallowing rule:

An account must have bought at least a "number of games" to have the right to post a review. otherwise this crap will keep going.
They could also make it so that reviews are separated by those who own the game and those who do not.

Crisco1492: Strongly agree. Maybe one game to post on the forums as well.
One paid game....otherwise free games during gog site giveaways(the ones gog hosts) and free titles would help to circumvent that.

Linko64: That's an awful idea. The thing GoG needs now and has done for the last two years, is more focus on the users directly spending money and interacting with the service. You can't try to nurture and grow the forums, or even maintain if you're gating it off with the requirement for purchase.
IIRC steam does it and not many mind. And making people spend 1 dollar to post or review games seems fair on a site that is here to sell games.

Linko64: I would assume this is why Epic is taking their approach to user reviews...and the recent changes at Rotten Tomatoes, even if we're going outside of video games here.

They come here to ask questions, it's a gateway to the service and the community, which is already niche to start off with.
RT is doing it to control the narrative for their corporate sponsors and those whose movies are listed on the site, most likely.

Also if they want to ask questions then maybe they could make the subforums free to post in and the general forums would need 1 game bought to post in. This seems fair.
