Rough few hours for GOG, pissing of people on twitter and annoyed regular forum dwellers for shilling their own game. That is quite an achievement.

Achievement unlocked: too desperate to sell games! :-)

Really, this whole mess is even more embarrassing than their fckdrm campaign. (Which got better over time, by the way, when they finally added other DRM-free sources than themselves)

Let's replace the front page with an obnoxious full-page advertisement for yet another Witcher cash-in that people have to click past, only to be greeted by the big-ass banner for the exact same game again."

Honestly, I don't appreciate gog taking me for that much of a moron that having Witcher relentlessly shoved down my throat is going to make me more likely to buy the damn thing. It's having quite the opposite effect on me.

True. I wonder how they keep their job. Anyone who screws up like that repeatedly should be fired and replaced by someone competent. They are, after all, actively working against GOG.

Guess GOG only sells the Witcher series, after all.

I can't wait to see what kind of crafty schemes they come up with for Cyberpunk 2077. Maybe some sort of account-hacking or the second site shutdown; it would fit the game's theme well.

Probably they will use Galaxy to insert ads for Cyberpunk into every single game that the Galaxy-users own. And, of course, Cyberpunk will secretly install Galaxy, even if you download the offline installers.
