omega64: Devs are dicks for refusing to update. Good riddance. :/
Does the fact that it's still early access modify your opinion at all?

I mean, I won't even buy an early access in case the devs don't ever finish. But I'm thinking that as long as it is early access, having patch parity is less of a problem. I'm thinking I would expect parity at full release.

What do you think?

Still an issue honestly. Early Access has an implied promise of testing, helping a game through development through feedback. If you never get the newest version on GOG you can't help in this process.

I'll pose another question then: what is early access about?

I think it is about seeing the progress of a game in development. It is not a preorder, you have to deliver content constantly up until the product is complete.

They can't update the gog version even though they gave their best efforts? God, the game must be a trainwreck on all platforms if they cannot even manage that :P
Beta is without housing, without female character and story-mode is currently disabled...oh and online only...
We keep the fun Alpha ^^
Same as Armello.

Another game going to milk people with micro transactions...so they need Steam and always online feature...

Good thing i decided to stay off it. Also, people on Steam complain about devs being rude. Lazy and rude, has to be the worst combo, like, ever!

They delayed the beta release two times last year, they kept scrapping the originally promised Kickstarter features, they did not release news and updates on Gog, they completely ignored the Gog users in the official Gog forum, they banned users who were skeptical of the game in Steam forum, they deprived Gog customers the beta stress test, they permanently banned me in Steam forum for comparing this game's release date to Mound And Blade II - Bannerlord, Diablo IV and The Elder Scrolls VI, they have simplified the game so much, it is only remains of the original Kickstarter Umbra project, and as the cherry at the top they pull this dick move, and remove the game from the Gog store. What a bunch of scums.

I decided to open a ticket to ask for a refund, it's simply not fair to be stuck with an unfinished game in your library, I mean I paid the full price for the final product and not a half-assed alpha build. :/
Fuck the devs btw.
I was going to get this when it was feature complete. Sad to see it will never happen now. Better to remove it from my wishlist. Maybe it will show up in a Steam bundle one day. Still, GD is a better and more interesting game and is the standard in this genre right now.
Thank you, GoG for taking a stand against this
you do realise surgeon simulator is "not be able to maintain update parity between GOG.COM and other platforms," yet this is still listed?
And this was on my wishlist. Glad I didn't give any money to a scummy dev.

I also opened a ticket last night after finding out the new beta that launched today for Wolcen will not be on GOG. We'll see what support says, I mean I'd be happy with store credit considering I bought the game 3 years ago.

Also: Fuck the devs.

Yeah, I don't know wether they have to refund the game or not, but it'd certainly be a nice gesture. :)

They don't have to, but if they do, I'll be very happy. We'll see, Catnip. Good luck!
