The biggest thing in RPG gets bigger.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Hearts of Stone, the first of two anticipated epic expansions, is available now with full GOG Galaxy support, DRM-free on GOG.com.

In the world of The Witcher, nearly everything that you do matters - once in a while you may just have to face the heavy consequences of even the briefest interactions.
A new contract awaits from the mysterious Merchant of Mirrors. Geralt of Rivia will take on the impossible: a quest to defeat one man cursed with the power of immortality - and he'll do so over 10 hours of new adventure with new characters, new monsters, new romances, plenty of whimsy, and a whole new storyline for him to shape. You'll see Geralt like you've never seen him before.

Check out IGN's review of the Hearts of Stone expansion, but watch out for spoilers!

I want it, but I don't have money :(
Well, of to playing it now:DD
Good fun so far, well done CDPR!

That said, I guess it's time for bed as unfortunately I've got work tomorrow (on the up side though, my Limited Edition should be waiting for me there!)

Got the limited edition with the physical cards preordered. I'll likely pick it up tomorrow. *excitement*.
I hope this message isn't lost on some, but if you're not level 65 or higher DO NOT START THE NEW QUEST LINE.

No spoilers, but I'm in an early stage "boss" battle, and the enemy is nigh on impossible to beat. He does 1 shot kills, you cannot block, you cannot counter, and the maximum damage I can do is about 1 pixel's worth of damage to the HP bar (with Igni boosted 248%)

It seems the save game load times have gotten worse with this expansion. The average 25-30+ seconds so each time you die (in 1 shot) you now have to wait over half a minute before you try again. After about 30 tries in a row, I've given up and am looking to just lose all the progress I've made so far.

Problem is, to go from L56 to L65 or so which would put me on par with these enemies is another 16,000XP away, and it would take a NG++ to get there.

For the meanwhile this has definitely put me off from playing the game. The high-level play is very uncalibrated. You have L36 enemies doing 1 swing kills on me, but some L60 Wyvern can hit me 6+ times before I die. The scaling is just very flaky. So, be warned.
I bought the expansion pass a long time ago and I have no option to download Hearts of Stone. Anyone else experiencing this?
This review seems to be full of spoilers. Avoid.

budejovice: Wait, Witcher 3 expansion? I hadn't noticed the base game had already been released.
Not on Linux. Still waiting for the base game to come out. Hopefully it won't take as long as it took Witcher 2 from Windows to Linux release. May be Wine will catch up with DX11 support sooner if CDPR will continue treating Linux as second class citizen for their games.

Didn't preorder digital, so don't know about the library entry before the release. Now that it's been released, you can find it listed as DLC under the TW3 entry in your library.

Linux is a second class citizen. It's NOT CDPR's fault that Wine hasn't even base support for old DX11 yet. While I can understand wanting to run it on an alternate OS please keep in mind that Linux isn't even an OS with broad open support yet. UNLESS you KNOW Linux you won't "get it". Period.

Consider it an honor and a priviledge that CDPR even ports the game to Linux. They DON"T have to after all.

Only for those who treat it as such. There are developers who release for all platforms at once, and they have my highest respect.

However it is their choice not to release for Linux, or to delay that release for quite some time.

I'm not sure what you mean by "no broad support". Linux offers better technology than Windows.

I know elderly people who use Linux and can't stand Windows (and they aren't technical in any way). But once they know there is a choice, they can decide for themselves what they get, instead of stuff being shoved on them by MS.

So is this the card game expansion?
Another regionally priced release, yeaaaah!

From the reviews, it's a bit expensive anyway for what it's worth so... no hard feelings...
