And I will still be here, stargazing.

Stellaris is now available on GOG.com, truly DRM-free for the first time, 60% off until October 8th, 3pm UTC.

A sprawling grand strategy with emergent storytelling and a huge procedurally generated galaxy to uncover. Colonize hundreds of planets, employ diplomacy and wage war to overcome the alien civilizations that look to do the same. With a multitude of DLC offering additional story (like Leviathans, Synthetic Dawn, Utopia, or Apocalypse) or extra species (like Humanoids and Plantdoids) the possibilities are nigh limitless and you will want to explore them all.

Go for the Nova or Galaxy editions for some sweet extra bits and bobs or upgrade later.
So there's no "complete edition" with all the DLC included?

No there's only a upgrade to Galaxy Edition which includes a minor spider esque species dlc and a few goodies so prepare to pay a fat sum for the rest of DLC's or wait a few years.

evolutiona: Here is hoping that if this does well, that Paradox embraces GOG and we see all future titles here. If given the chance, I will buy Imperator Rome and Age of Wonders Planetfall on here, rather than another platform.
upvoted.

Awesome news, BTW! (though I own the franchise elsewhere)
I wasn't very pleased with Stellaris when it first came out - but perhaps that's an issue with all the games from Paradox. Could anyone who's up to date with all patches&DLCs give out a bit of info, how different the game is now than it was on release?

Tricky to summarise, since in addition to the DLC almost every patch has brought minor and major changes, I can barely remember the vanilla first release.

Rather than spreading territory you claim systems with starbases that cost influence based on proximity to territory (makes more sense but a bit more micromanagement and a ton of notifications),

There are a lot more early game discoveries and exploratory quests.

Rather than have 3 different types of star system travel, everyone uses hyperlanes now, which means you also don't manually place defensive stations, rather you turn you fortify the starbase in the claimed system. This also makes strategic locations such as wormholes and gateways really important.

You're less likely to come across doomstack fleets, especially in the early mid game. Instead the game favours having a few larger fleets.

Those are the biggest changes I can think of.

While I think the last 1.9 was more fun to play, I think the changes have made it much easier for new players to find their way in the game and has simplified and streamlined strategy.

War exhaustion and war goals are still obtuse, and the AI can still be ridiculously dumb declaring war wherever possible, so federations are still a pain if you're trying to be a peaceful pacifist player.

0xffffffff: Good! Any chance for GOG Connect?
That would be nice, but remember, DLC doesn't work with GOG Connect, so if you have any of the DLC, you'd have to re-buy it.

TheGreatDustpan: No achievement support?
I have it on Steam and achievements only work when playing iron man mode.

I don't think any Paradox games of this type have "compete editions." They do have bundles, like a starter bundle that includes the base game and some DLC at a discount. That would be nice to have here as well.

Thanks! I'll give it a try. I'm accustomed to War AI doing dumb things *cough* CK2 *cough* so this shouldn't be much of an issue.
It's nice to see a newer Paradox title here. As someone else mentioned, I hope that increases our chances of getting AoW Planetfall here, too. :)

Skysect: Instabuy. I have waited so long for this !
+1! :) And those 2 free DLC was quite nice too. :)
Very nice! Pricey, but this kind of game tends to favor long playthroughs and good replay value, and the release sale is appreciated.

And it's nice to see crossplay support:

Stellaris includes a beta version of the new PDX multiplayer system, allowing for cross-play with friends regardless of which PC games distribution platform they are playing from. Paradox will continue to support and develop this feature.
Good to see this game here !
Holy shit!! Thank you a million times, GoG!!!! Happy anniversary!
Very nice. I played Stellaris quite a lot back in 2016. Love the game.
I'm surprised that Stellaris made it here before Crusader Kings 2 though.
This is great, bought everything and uninstalled from Steam. Great release
Timing couldn't be more perfect.
I just found out about this game and wondered if it was on GOG.

Feeling bored of replaying CIV 6 and this looks like a good replacement.

Bought the base edition and all of the DLC except the sound track, humanoids pack and synthetic dawn.

A giant bundle would make a lot of sense.
If it was there with 10% off I would have bought it and ended up spending a little more than I did ($56 for everything).
