Colonize hundreds of planets, employ diplomacy and wage war to overcome the alien civilizations that look to do the same. With a multitude of DLC offering additional story (like Leviathans, Synthetic Dawn, Utopia, or Apocalypse) or extra species (like Humanoids and Plantdoids) the possibilities are nigh limitless and you will want to explore them all.
