Take command of the greatest Star Wars™ battles!

Star Wars™ Galactic Battlegrounds Saga, an RTS classic depicting major conflicts of the Star Wars™ films, is available for the first time in digital distribution on GOG.com!

Released in 2001, Star Wars™ Galactic Battlegrounds was the first Star Wars™ RTS to find success among critics and fans alike. The game's basic formula was a recipe for success. It employed tried and tested gameplay mechanics inspired by the critically acclaimed Age of Empires series (Star Wars™ Galactic Battlegrounds was developed on the very same engine, which contributed to its overall familiar feel), and brought them straight into the realm of Star Wars™, offering fans a brand new way to influence the major conflicts depicted in Star Wars™ films.

The package available here includes the Clone Campaigns expansion pack, which introduced a whole new campaign covering the start of the Clone Wars, with two extra playable factions (CIS and Galactic Republic) and a slew of additional units. In total, Star Wars™ Galactic Battlegrounds Saga includes an impressive eight playable factions, each with its own story-filled single player campaign.

Take direct command of the greatest movie battles in Star Wars™ Galactic Battlegrounds Saga, DRM-free on Windows - for the first time in digital distribution - on GOG.com!

tinyE: You make a fair point but what people fail to realize is that technically the Empire WON the Battle of Hoth so the Walkers did get the job done.
That's true. I suppose they are quite useful, but the lesson is probably to always stick to the four-legged model, considering how the AT-ST fared on Endor. Such a design wasn't particularly successful for OCP, either...

tinyE: Okay who invited the party pooper!? :P

Ultimatum: Me!
The battle droid brought someone in who has the gall to question the use of Empiric Military Hardware?

I'm sorry but I find that very hard to believe. Now get back in line before I sell you to the Jawas.

And anything that can be hijacked by an ewok needs to go back to the drawing board. ;P

You make fun of the ewoks. Their technology and prediction algorithms were able to destroy one by successfully swinging two suspended logs together, timed to hit perfectly at the bottom of the swing.

Not to mention that they are the samurai and ninjas of the teddy bear world. They took out highly trained entrenched and mechanized storm troopers with nothing but sticks, stones, and rope.

I hate those things! I hate them!
I remember playing this game long ago, quite unbalanced but when you've got like 10 factions who the hell cares, if I wanted a boring balanced RTS I'd play Starcraft 2

Fenixp: Cool. Never played it. Wanted for ages. In other words: Bought.
same.
I am running Windows 10 Pro. Bought and downloaded SWGB. When I open the program, it plays the cut scenes and then crashes. Any help is appreciated.
