Mr.Mumbles: Yup, this definitely feels like Privateer alright with much appreciated modern QoL features. It's like they've almost lifted the entirety of their station system, too. ;) That said, I can't be bothered with my aging flight stick anymore, so it's great that this plays so smoothly on a standard gamepad. That auto-follow system is simply a brilliant addition. I still got to properly aim, but I don't have to do awkward maneuvering anymore; that's something I was never too keen on even in the old days. :) I also quite like the 3D map for easier situational awareness.
Thanks for the details on the auto follow system. Also the first game played great on a gamepad. Nice that they make things more comfortable for those who want them that way.
Wondering now how does the game play with a mouse. Are the three options viable? gamepad, stick, mouse?
you can play with keyboard and mouse yes but to be honest I don't think you will like using those controls

Thanks! I remember starting to play Rebel Galaxy with mouse and keyboard and it was OK. Then I read one of developers mentioning in GOG that they liked to play the game with a gamepad. The game really came into its own that way.

Asking because games like Everspace or Strike Suit Zero play reallly well with a mouse. Actually SSZ plays worse with a stick (IMHO), and I do not even know if it is possible with Everspace.
