nightcraw1er.488: Unfortunately they do not do this, nor provide decent compression versions either. The installers are poorly compressed probably to facilitate fast expanding rather than archiving. Even pirates offer to repackage languages/additional components so you only download what you need, and repacks if you need to save storage space. Unfortunately GOG is way way behind in their offline installers and lack the manpower/Will to do anything about it. You can’t even get or versions or old patches, and sometimes no patch is made available and almost always now without changelogs and such like.
It’s been mentioned several times before, and games are just getting bigger and bigger each month, serious Sam 4 is some 40gb plus which is fun when it is missing a patch, you get to download it all again (and likely have to store t multiple times in case they broke anything).
_Line: How would a repack do that with a game like Re-Reckoning if the localizations are tied to the code?
The game didn't even launched when I removed language files from the installation folder after I noticed that they occupy unnecessary space.
There are literally many huge files with language names in them. I just wish we could get rid of the useless space taken for unused files. :l
I don’t know, best ask them? Don’t think this one has appeared there yet. I have noticed it on others though as localisations can be huge. TBh not particularly interested in this anyway, I played the original and it was pretty lacklustre and repetitive, like a solo mmo, especially towards the end.
