David9855: No it's not it's a subsection to discuss a new release Imperium Galactica 2: If you have a problem with something and would like to make your own thread then I suggest you do so, also gog has a feedback section.

Also to add many people come here to relax and have fun/ play games/ be a bit silly and get away from the real world after work/ school/ other. If you would like to discuss serious issues I suggest like stated above you make your own thread.

If you would like to delete your account you can do so by contacting gog.
Great job quoting half a sentence (couldn't you be any more selective?) and stating the obvious. Yeah, this is a release thread, not a complaint thread. This is also a game store forum, not Stormfront. Unfortunately it seems people can post whatever they want wherever they want, and no feedback is going to change that. I guess we'll all just have to learn to deal with it.

I'd love to relax and have fun. I just find it a little difficult with people ranting about how we should kill all the immigrants, muslims, jews, homosexuals, liberals etc. Maybe that's something you consider "being a bit silly"?

When I open the game my mouse disappears. I can't get past the menu, help! Windows 10, HP Specterx360 2016.

been waiting for this so long....

one thing though
when i play i cant see the whole of the screen. cant see an option either to change resolution or im not sure what to do to be fair....
anyone having the same problem or anyone got any ideas how to fix it ?

darkangelz: Having the same issue here, cant even start the scenarios. Maybe it's related to widescreen monitors,

Edit: i found a workaround. Changing the resolution from 1920*1080 to 2715*1527 makes the complete game screen visible, so until a patch fixes this, ill be swaping between the 2.
yeah that worked for me too thanks though :)

For anyone interested I just grabbed my CD copy out of a box. 4 CDs.
While I haven't done a proper compare I think a fair chunk of the content is unique to each disc. There may be some duplication around messages from pirates, traders and advisors.

CD 1 is the main game install and the media in that are 2 copies of the intro video and two of the credits video in different resolutions.

CD 2 is the "Solarian CD" the human one with 632mb of data. There are a lot of Sound "messages" files that are mp2 audio (591 that are pretty small and add up to 54mb worth) . video files are in .bik format a lot of this looks unique for the human campaign.

CD 3 is the "Shinari CD" with 647mb of data. Same deal with Sound "messages" in mp2 (688 small files that add up to 56.5mb). Video files are .bik

CD 4 is the "Krahen CD" with 537mb of data. Again Sound "messages" in mp2 (265 small files adding to 23mb)
Video files are .bik there are certainly different quantities of files in the messages folders for "Trader", "Politikus", "Pirate" and one called 'Brutal" as I haven't compared I can't say if any are duplicated from the other discs, but my gut feeling is there is a lot of unique content.

While none of the video files seem that large, modern compressors probably would reduce them down somewhat. Still I'm surprised by the advertised size of the game on GOG.

I note a review on the game page indicated that the audio message files were not included, perhaps that is one way the size was reduced.

Will you eventually be reintroducing the original PC controls that you removed for the mobile version, before porting that back to the PC (incidentally also removing a few more features in the process)?

That may be so or may not, but you not buying will hardly make GOG wake up nor will it help you. The best solution is to stop posting and either buy at Steam or buy at GOG during a sale or buying at some other random competitor. Sorry.

I will probably not buy this game, because I remember that for some reason I found it a bit boring. MoO 2 or GalCiv 2 (kind of competitors) were better, and my available time is limited, so I have to choose.

Sword of the Stars, Pax Imperia, etc would be competitors. MoO2 & co. are turn based. IG2 is great game, to bad they botched the PC controls, but I'm sure it's not that hard to fix them.

In the IG 2 subforum, I read that IG 2 tries to make an internet connection to some shady website. Would be interesting to know if GoG will do something against this, before I buy this game.

if u have a touch screen on pc your like I have, u need to disable the touch screen in order to have mouse present, it worked for me. Go to device manager --> human interface devices --> HID - compliant touch screen -> left and disable.

A dreams that comes true O.O

I loved this game, i played it so many times, i think is one of the most beautiful space oriented RTS game that i have ever played and now it's on GOG!!! Great job!!!

I suggest this game to everyone loves RTS, u fight in space, u fight on planets surfaces, u research, u build the ships as u want with the component u researched, u decide which building place on the planets, u need to care about the population of the planets... ok i stop, but...

BUY THIS GAME, u will not regret it!


Now they don't produce games such this one, never found another game like this.
