AGCByYiro: The absence of achievements isn't a valid reason to miss a decent game but could be valid enough to buy it on the platform that has them.
Maybe if the other platform is also DRM free. If it isn't and one is willing to toss aside ownership of their games for some silly popups, then that reason isn't worth the paper it's printed on imo.

Absolutely... For me and you. It can be enough for them. If you ask me, I don't understand why they are willing to buy anything here if they care about a feature that's DRM itself.

It's also put into games to hook people on achievement hunting just so they will buy more games, with the end result of people playing games more to get the little popups to appear and less because of the game. As to the why, people like having things in one place. And since addiction is an ongoing issue they will continue to buy here to fill their craving.

Vapid tack ons for motivating hollow pursuits in gaming, for pats on the head like a dog, is not gaming at all. Picking up random objects or repeating some ocd task 20,000 times is not playing the game. At most it is like advertising clutter on a website, whereby people argue its still content on a website. Full well knowing it is useless space wasting information. It identifies a poorly crafted game, that cannot compete on merits it should have, when comparing to better quality titles. Especially when comparing games that have real content to motivate game play.....for example an intelligent plot.

If anyone ignores or buys a game based upon a dog pat on the head, then you have no reason to play the game at all.

I just bought the game and there is no installer for GNU/Linux or Windows: nothing! What a joke this is!

AGCByYiro: I think everybody there are missing the point.
The absence of achievements isn't a valid reason to miss a decent game but could be valid enough to buy it on the platform that has them.
No, you're missing the point. "I came to this store that has DRM-free offline installers as it's one unique selling point to buy only games that have online features" is just a damn silly attitude - that's the point.

Offline installers are online now.

Well, you skipped the part where I say exactly the same:

Really - when I look at offline installer, only Windows is there - and only Windows is
also given in product page, while the Publisher expects same support like Frogun 1.
See forum thread:
* https://www.gog.com/forum/frogun_encore/currently_windows_only_no_linux_which_is_just_a_fault_linux_comes

So it is just another situation when Devs/Publisher delivered and GOG messed everything.
They should be prepared and directly put everything to the offline installer before
announcing a game.
Otherwise they could announce a game months before launch as Steam does it ...

And the same situation seems to be with "Toy Tanks".
Maybe they should give some gamers access to their product pages and
offline installer so this can be fixed in time ... and pay them instead of those who
are not willing or able to work and cause this mess again ... and again ... and again ...
