Knowledge can be the ultimate weapon.

Elven Legacy, a turn-based tactical battleground of warring fantasy races, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 66% launch discount.

In the world of Fantasy Wars, battles are often fought not only to reveal ancients secrets but to keep them from coming out. When a human mage threatens to unearth pieces of powerful, forbidden knowledge, the elder race gets mobilized to protect their Elven Legacy from falling into the wrong hands, and all factions get tangled in full-scale war.

The humans pushed the orcs out of their lands long ago but the greenskins have been preparing to take them back. Taking advantage of the recent turmoil they will now try and challenge the humans' supremacy and you can choose between the orcs and the elves in a highly-tactical campaign with multiple endings, based on your choices. Plan your moves carefully in the hexagonal-based maps when doing battle either against the A.I. or your friends and lead your race to victory, reaping the just rewards that will help you grow stronger and better overcome the challenges ahead. The Elven Legacy Collection also includes the Ranger, Siege, and Magic DLCs, which continue the story of the saga while also bringing many new campaign missions, maps, heroes, spells, and artifacts.

Get involved in tactical fantasy warfare instigated by dark forces that seek to exploit the Elven Legacy, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 66% launch discount will last until March 10, 1:59 PM GMT.

vicklemos: Btw wish 4x4 Hummer was in here... was once available on Gamersgate and others, so the licence shouldn't be that tough.
avatar
Grargar: Unfortunately, I doubt 1C would be particularly willing. They would either need to renew a license with General Motors (probably unprofitable) or hire a group of developers to remove the General Motors brand from the 4x4.

It's sad, but very true. Once racing games get removed from digital stores because of licensing, they are not coming back (like Colin McRae Rally 2005, Dirt 1+2 and Toca Race Driver 3).
Yup. Kinda impossible to remove the whole Hummer shebang from this game, huh? :)
But anyway.. who knows.

But there are racing games that don't need those real car licenses, like Beam Breakers, Hover Ace, , and [url=http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/wipeout]Wipeout.

Countless ones, eh?
You forgot to mention Downforce, the best "F-1" game without an actual F-1 car ;P

Looks interesting, but I can't find any info about it on MobyGames. Is it listed under another name? Was there a PC version?

Oh, ps2 only I'm afraid. Runs great under pcsx2, be aware.
Looks nice, but I'll have to play Fantasy Wars before. Thus I might wait for an even better discount. Still, 66% off at launch time is good.
I am pleased to finally see this on GOG, so i can remove it from wishlist from other store! But this is still not enough for me because, we are missing much more games from 1c on this store, and waiting for the day when they will appear here!
Nice release. Nice price. Bought. :)

"Released: April 7, 2009"

More games from that period, please.

"Genre: Strategy - Turn-based - Fantasy"

Disciples III next, please!

LOL, nice. I kinda called (more like hoped for) it, but didn't actually expect it to show up. :D
What's next, 1C? Men of War: Assault Squad 2?

Anyway, I'll buy this when I get home. Thanks, 1C & GOG!
And bought. :D

Finally a new release that interest me and that makes me want to insta-buy.

SeduceMePlz: snip
Definitively would love to see Disciples III come to GoG too.
Never played it. Heard of it. How is it? :)
avatar
timppu: Damn it. With that low launch sale price, I have very hard time convincing myself not to buy a game if it looks even remotely interesting (as these games certainly do). Yeah, I'll probably buy this collection tomorrow...

vicklemos: ... and lemme know if it runs ok under intel hd chips! :)
Please?! Pretty please?!
The game runs really well on my MacBook Air with WINE 1.9.4-staging (Core i5, Intel HD 5000 Graphics), and it looks pretty good with all of the graphics cranked up. I do get an errror message because the game thinks I have only 128 MB of VRAM, but that's more due to a bug in WINE than anything else.

So yeah, I'm pretty confident it'll work with your computer.
And here I thought this was a new movie :D

Impaler26: Already have Elven Legacy on Steam so i'll pass. :D
I already have Elvan Legacy on steam so I'll buy it here, otherwise why would I comment on the fact :)
I only know this game because I remember the babe on the cover !

I 'am not sure to enjoy it because of its repetitive gameplay. I hoped a game similar to HoMM.
