Knowledge can be the ultimate weapon.

Elven Legacy, a turn-based tactical battleground of warring fantasy races, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 66% launch discount.

In the world of Fantasy Wars, battles are often fought not only to reveal ancients secrets but to keep them from coming out. When a human mage threatens to unearth pieces of powerful, forbidden knowledge, the elder race gets mobilized to protect their Elven Legacy from falling into the wrong hands, and all factions get tangled in full-scale war.

The humans pushed the orcs out of their lands long ago but the greenskins have been preparing to take them back. Taking advantage of the recent turmoil they will now try and challenge the humans' supremacy and you can choose between the orcs and the elves in a highly-tactical campaign with multiple endings, based on your choices. Plan your moves carefully in the hexagonal-based maps when doing battle either against the A.I. or your friends and lead your race to victory, reaping the just rewards that will help you grow stronger and better overcome the challenges ahead. The Elven Legacy Collection also includes the Ranger, Siege, and Magic DLCs, which continue the story of the saga while also bringing many new campaign missions, maps, heroes, spells, and artifacts.

Get involved in tactical fantasy warfare instigated by dark forces that seek to exploit the Elven Legacy, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 66% launch discount will last until March 10, 1:59 PM GMT.
More votes on the wishlist than I expected so I'm glad it's here, but I had hoped for more Retroism games (published by ND) to show up here today, like Eradicator. Or maybe ... DOOM 3 AND OBLIVION AND FALLOUT 3 ;)
low rated
Already have Elven Legacy on Steam so i'll pass. :D
And it took less than 6 years since Fantasy Wars was released. That's... good... I guess.

Yeah, so that means we'll get Doom 3, Oblivion, and Fallout 3 soon, right? :P

IronArcturus: Does it have a Skirmish mode?
No, only predesigned scenarios, and even though there are a ton (combined with Fantasy Wars), I wish there were more, it is basically a remake of the old Fantasy General, the same gameplay, but more stuff. This is the way remakes should be done.

Grargar: Ah, the sequel to Fantasy Wars is finally here.

By the way, does GOG's version contain the external map editor?
Edit: Guess not.
"Powerful built-in game editor"
There is a file called "Map Editor.exe" in the game's directory :)
Weird. I added it to my wishlist, and it has the little heart icon next to it, but it does not show up on the wishlist itself.

I guess it's not external, though, like on GamersGate. Oh well...

I think he was talking about the sub-sub-sub-genre of "Eradicator-likes". :P

I meant I want to see more Retroism games (those currently only on Steam) show up here but published by Night Dive if necessary - NAM, missing flight sims Hyperspeed, etc.

Are they structured in campaigns or are they separate missions? Also, does it run in a window?
Nice launch discount! Me thinks the backlog will grow a little bigger today :D
I was just thinking about this game a few days ago - I bought it once upon a time in CD form and then managed to lose them when moving homes. I never got around to play it, and I loved Fantasy Wars. Insta-buy!

There are 4 campaigns in this and 3 in Fantasy wars, and a couple of scenarios. The campaigns are very motivating because the heroes and units get XP and perks, and you find items. It does have a window mode.
