Ganni1987: I do own the game and all the paid DLC's. Got any suggestions to these 'other means'?
Having bought the Original Game on Steam, and The Following Edition here, I understand your confusion
Originally the Only Game Goodies were the three marked by the TF name
character artworks (7) = dying_light_tf_character_artworks.zip
monster artworks (9) = dying_light_tf_enemy_artworks.zip
posters (5) = dying_light_tf_posters.zip The other 5, now downloadable in the Game Goodies section (looks like GOGs now remamed that to Extras), were only available to Steam users, and even for them they had to jump though several hoops, and sign up to Techland's pathetic attempt at a store client.
This gave them access to 4 free bonus skins, you still can't get on GOG, a free Prima Guide, if you sign up to Prima's store site, and the other 5 extras you now also can get on GOG.
wallpapers (9) = Dying-Light-Wallpapers-Pack.zip
novella = dying_light_novel.zip
soundtrack (MP3) = dying_light_original_soundtrack.zip
artbook = Dying-Light_Artbook.zip
3D printer models (3) = dying_dight_3D_printer_models.zip These ones I know nothing about;
Left 4 Dead 2 Weapons Pack
Chivalry Weapon Pack Apparently given out with some Community event, so online co-op/multiplayer crap I don't give a damn about.
I assume you had to be part of the event to get them.
Pawel1995: These are all "only" skins for weapons,outfits and the car? Or is there any other mission dlc or sth similar that is RLY worth getting for me?
Only the Following is an expansion worth buying
All the Bundles, are "Skinonomy" microtransactions, and wortless trash.
As CDPR would say, these should be Free DLC.
Pawel1995: I was really proud of my countrymen from Techland for their approach in many aspects, their releases etc. but they clearly treat GOG as 2nd or 3rd tier customers.
That's because, like it, or not, GOG customers, are 3rd Tier customers;
Consoles are 1st Tier, Steam 2nd, All the Rest 3rd
When collectively, we are less than 1% of their customers, what do you expect?:
It's not an issue, at best it's a feature request.
Cross play between GOG, and Steam was never promised as a feature for this Game, as far as I'm aware.
Pawel1995: And that's not even the worst part. The worst part is that Techland is a huge company and they ignore every complain here on gog. There are no Community managers or anything equivalent here in the forums, actually helping people out.
Now you're getting silly, there's no guarantee of that, with any game. You must go to where they provide support, Often their sites forums, if they still have them, but even if it's the Steam forums, and five years after release, few devs will still be providing any support, on any site.
Pawel1995: I think, quite a few people will think twice before buying Dying Light 2
Really, why exactly do you buy games on GOG?
For me the main reason, I own 80% of my games on GOG, is because I get an offline installer, and never need to use the store client, that's all I want. DRM free is very nice, but if I had to make a choice, between getting a client free, game and DRM, I'd take the DRM, to get rid of Steam, Origin, Uplay, etc.
Dev support is so far down the list, it can drop off without making a damn bit of difference, it's other users I turn to to fix issues, not the devs, often the devs are the issue I want to fix, and mods do that for me, far more often than customerr support ever will.
Granted, I don't want Co-op/Multiplayer features, poxy store achievements, and all the bloated crap that comes with store clients. Also Galaxy 2.0 is not required, I've always had ALL MY games in one place, my desktop full of shortcuts, non GOG games, open Store Clientt, and It's immediatly minimised, and game runs.
So lets just say all I want is:
The Single Player Game, the whole Single Player Game, and nothing but the Single Player Game. So help me GOG.
