ElTerprise: Thanks for the clarification. I assumed that it wouldn't regional priced because the current dollar-to-euro exchange rate would result in a price close to the 64,99 (around 63,39).
Devs/pubs on Steam rarely adjust their prices to account for any fluctuation to the exchange rate. Thus, if the € ends up becoming stronger, don't expect them to lower the price there.

Yes i know that - was just an interesting coincidence.

guppy44: It was originally stated that this Enhanced Edition would not replace the original version, yet, as others have mentioned, the original is gone from both GOG and Steam. Does this mean there is no way to get the original version now? I know I had my chance to buy the original over the past year, but I didn't feel rushed as it was specifically stated it would be staying around.
It will not replace the old version for existing customers. The old build works with 32bit, the Enhanced Edition only with 64bit operating systems. Replacing the versions for customers with 32bit systems would be a very bad idea. If you buy the game now you will only get the new version. If you bought it in the past - you will have both.

WinterSnowfall: To be honest, I wouldn't mind upgrading to the Collector's Edition if that would give me access to the original DLC.

At this point my main concern is that even that (if the upgrade becomes available) won't automatically add the original DLC to my account.

People who did not buy the DLC before the upgrade might have missed the train for good.

Grargar: The Collector's Edition does contain everything from the DLC (in-content and extras). Problem is that you'd have to pay the whole 70 bucks (or however much it costs for you), as there is no option for an upgrade (as it used to be).
*Sigh*... long story short. If you do purchase the Collector's Edition, you won't get the DLC for the original DoS game. At least it's not showing up for me.

Support seems to confirm this since they mentioned that the original content can no longer be purchased/added (in any way).

Looks like it's gone forever, just like any other missed opportunity.

Dear GOG,

I understand that developers and publishers like to sell multiple variations of their games, and you want to sell their games so you sell the variations. We want to buy the games, so this is all good.
This is okay, but you really should sell the ability for people to upgrade their games too. Unlike with physical deluxe and collectors editions, it is not like you have to ship physical extras around the world to us. Just add in the ability for us to access the extra goodies.
The Book of Unwritten tales 2, Pillars of Eternity, Hard West, Kyn and now Divinity Original Sin EE all lack the ability for people to just upgrade their game, or more simply to buy the game when they can, and then add in the extra bits later should they choose.
This will lead to lost sales and disappointed customers. As not everyone can afford £60 for a new game day one, so both you and the developers actively persuade users from supporting the developers day one, as we feel we should then wait for that deep sale before buying the CE/EE of a game.
Please fix this, as I for one will not be buying DOS:EE or any other game a second time just to get a few extras.

From,
Me

Ugh, that's too bad. So I guess my next question is if I go out and buy a retail copy of the original (which means I guess it'd activate with Steam, not GOG) will I get the EE yet or probably not since I didn't have it in my account when they released it today.

This one seems to include the base game, the Source Hunter Pack and another DLC. Seems the only way to get the original now and the reviews below state it activates with Steam...
Arghh, darn it, this is only for 64-bit Windows too =((((

I was actually looking forward to playing this T_T
They won't be giving the Original with the Enhanced? Or even selling it separately? Why not? That's.... why did I wait for EE then.. Oh well, hopefully they change their mind.

On the bright side, I'm happy they put a lot of effort into the EE, and I am looking forward to it.

mattymuc: No, the DLC is included in the "DIVINITY: ORIGINAL SIN - ENHANCED EDITION COLLECTOR'S EDITION".
So I would like to know why we did not got the Collector's Edition which includes Soundtrack and so on we already had with the DLC.
because of this : (reply from ticket)

"Hello

The Collector's Edition of Divinity: Original Sin was never available on GOG. If you were supposed to receive the Collector's Edition of Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition you need to contact Larian support to get a key for it.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Genoan

technically they are right , but it's just BS , base game (original) + source Hunter DLC is the collector's edtion (digial, not boxed ofc).

i can live with, i'm far more concerned for those who doesn't have an option except to pay 70 euro if they want the soundtrack. for example.

Thank you Awesome GoG!
1. When do we get a Mac version ?

2. I own the normal edition of the game and would like to update it to the collectors edition. Is that possible / can it be made possible ? Cause 70€just for the Soundtrack is too much :/

All the best

The more I read this thread, the more I'm lead to believe this update was handled very poorly. I'll just remove this from my wishlist and move on.
